Re: Eric Boullier leaves mclaren
I read a post on another site that made me think. Last week everyone realized exactly where Mclaren are. Had it not been for Alonso keeping them afloat with his (tempted to say .7 here but i won't  ) good performances, they would probably realized a lot sooner. So was he good for them or ba...

This was in the cards. I never rated Boullier much, but what do I know? In other news, it seems that the McLaren Group is under an (mysterious) investigation, I wonder if this restructure is part of this. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2018/06/30/mystery-investigation-could-put-brake-mclarens...

Not that I'd mind Kimi to McLaren and I do see some advantages for McLaren themselves, but I don't see him wanting to do it. Soon after, it started 'doing the rounds'
Would either Mclaren or Kimi benefit from it?

Would depend on the brief. Max is a sponsorship magnet but is also a win or nil driver, Charles is a driver developing into a Prost clone but will take 2 years to get there. I think much now depends on how the two work together. IF for example Mclaren WAS dictating to Honda, 'you must fit into that size, no leeway', or Red bull WERE ignoring Renaults restriction, and Renault not giving way to RBR's calls for packaging, and this becomes a joint effort, it has to be the b...
