Re: Attending a GP
My friend and I are really serious about going to Spa and Monza as a package tour next year (because we love the tracks and also they are only a week apart). I googled F1 travel packages and there are so many to choose from, it's overwhelming. Do any of you have any advice for a reputable company to...

What a terrible accident, thank goodness no one was killed. Sensors in the pavement seem like a smarter way to manage track limits than big kerbs.

Re: Indycar - Double Points for Final Race???
I don't like the idea. One race should not determine the championship unless it's a very close battle up to that race, in which case single points would be enough.

Re: Indycar Pocono
My friends and I who follow Indycar struggle with this. We do love the mix of track types including ovals / tri-ovals, (they aren't boring races despite what so many people think). Your point is spot on though, they are just SO dangerous. Look how bad the crashes have taken place at them, Indy, Texa...

Re: 2nd Half of 2019 - Make A Bold Prediction
Nothing new happens. Mercedes keeps winning. RBR gets one more odd win. Ferrari keeps messing up. Albon continues where Gasly left only crashing more than him. No new visitors to podium. Hamilton gets the title two-three races before the end. Everyone hopes for a better new year, Ferrari makes prom...

Wonder if we all witnessed Hamilton who wasn't at his 100% best? He was suffering from a sore throat all weekend & is still not fine. He has cancelled all his pre-Hungary commitments & has said will rest at home to get enough sleep & rest. I think you are on to something here. The debacle wasn't ju...

Re: 2019 German Grand Prix Race Thread
It would be interesting if formula 1 took a nascar stance on substitutes. Basically. For example. If kurt Busch went Ill in tomorrow's race and Ross Chastain for example took his car at a pit stop. And Chastain carried on and went on too win the race. Kurt Busch would inherit the win and then point...

Re: 2019 Austrian Grand Prix Race Thread
Regardless of how you feel about that pass, it is AWFUL for F1 that the last three podiums are up to the Stewards. Horrible for the sport. This. While you can't eliminate stewarding, they need to make these decisions a lot faster - prior to podiums. If that means hustling the drivers before them fo...

I watched it again and just can't see it as looking shabby, except for the old looking concrete barriers. In any case, it doesn't really matter and it was a great show. If any of you have the chance to go there you will love the place.

Re: Indycar at Road America
Rossi is very hungry for an Indycar championship. And I think he will get it this year. I don't know if a backmarker F1 team would lure him away.
Regarding the condition of the track, sure there is worn paint but the place overall is spectacular.

Re: Indycar at Road America
I think Indycars are a good advert for why making the cars simpler would be a good thing. I don't want F1 to be a spec series, but it doesn't need to be, just far, far less aero dependant. Aero does absolutely nothing for the quality of the show, it does little to technologically advance the motor ...

I too hoped that there would be more actual racing this season. I don't think we are going to see it though. The cars, the tightening up of rules, etc seem to be leading us down a path of blah.

There you go guys. Knock yourselves out! I didn't think it was that bad; but I'm a fan. Seems the irate 'blue flags!' were for entry into Portier. He had to take a wider line into that corner to gap Max through the tunnel; but with a slower car in front he had to take a shallower line to cover Max ...

Re: Indy500
I'm not a seasoned Indy follower by any means but it looked to me that Pagenaud got a bit lucky, not really doing anything to manage fuel (ignoring requests from the pitwall) and instead gambling on there being an accident so that he could save fuel while the yellows were out. Without that Bourdais...
