Re: offending people?
It's a double edged sword isn't it. If you say everyone should be allowed to refuse entry to people they object to on moral grounds then you're impinging the rights of the people they object to. In this case the gay couple. If you say people should not be allowed to discriminate on moral grounds th...

Re: offending people?
My point is not whether it is right or wrong what was done, but more a discussion as about who's rights take priority? I understand the point made comparing the witch hunt and this B&B case, but although law is the law, I feel the comparison to murder is a little... over the top. Fair enough you op...

Re: offending people?
On the B&B thing I actually sympathise with the B&B owners. Not because I share their belief (I don't), but they have chosen to run a private business, not a public funded service. That, in my eyes, give them them the exclusive right to make their own decisions about who can use that business. As f...

Re: offending people?
Another area where I think we have gone PC MAD, is the recent incident where a deeply christian couple who run a B&B were taken to court because they would not allow a gay couple to stay at their B&B, we are forsaking individual beliefs, for total tolerance. This couple owns that B&B why can they n...

Here is the deal... I can only drive autos I need it road legal as will need to drive car to track (will get mother or other half to drive my general car for back up to get home). Re: Best FEMALE driver of all time
Michèle Mouton wasn't just competitive in her field "for a woman", she was competitive full stop. And there are very few women in motorsports that we can say that about, sadly. No one would have heard of the likes of Alice Powell (who won a minor club series that no one cares about) and Desire Wils...

Re: Driver developmental skills a myth?
I think the difference under the current rules is very different. There was a time when a team like Ferrari with a driver like Schumacher could spend the majority of their week running the car around a private track, perfecting the car. Now a lot of that work is done in the simulator instead. From ...

Can you ban the term fanboy?, it gets thrown around too much and is used as an insult, and as i understand it calling people names is a no no. That was always a slightly dodgy piece of ground, as there are/were members who referred to themselves as fanboys. Re: Old F1 cars- where are they?
There's a McLaren at the Science Museum in London, I think it's 1998 and still has minor damage from a race. There was also a 2007 or 2008 McLaren there last year in an F1 exhibit which may or may not be there still (it's surrounded by signs saying you can't photograph it although I'm sure rival te...

Is there any reason why, within threads, user names are not links?
On the main board, the names of the thread starter, and last poster are 'linkable', but not so, once you get into the thread itself.
I'm sure they used to be on the previous forum.
Just curious.

Re: High Altitude GP
I had an idea this morning that might make for an interesting GP. If a track was to be build at such a high altitude that the air was considerably thinner. The obvious effect this would have is that the engines would be far lazier and have to work harder to get enough air. Another effect this could...

Well as long as exhaust gases have to escape from the car, then there will always be an aerodynamic impact towards the cars. The FIA either try to enforce them in a negative impact, or a positive impact, to the cars. I'm sure they wouldn't want to severely hurt the overall aerodynamics. So it looks...

I don't think proper manual gearboxes are coming back any time soon. The cockpits are too small for a gear lever these days, and I don't think the FIA will ever want to make the car or the cockpit wider. To be honest Snake, I don't think the FIA would have any objections - the wider cockpit would m...

It is quite normal in an F1 team to have a second design to go to if it turns out to be quicker than the first. Though the first design is priority and often teams have no need to go to the next design but this is F1 and the overall design of the car, which includes even the small details can make ...
