Did Hamilton think his five place penalty was for tomorrow? He said tomorrow when referencing it in his post-qualy interview but I assumed he just misspoke but his Instagram post also says tomorrow.

Didn’t expect that coming into the weekend. Apparently Shovlin said before the weekend that if it was cooler then it would help Mercedes against Red Bull and it is pretty cool right now.

Anyway a sprint weekend usually means a Hamilton and Verstappen crash and they share the front row tomorrow…

Yea it has been a change, but if you look at the points over the last few races (back to russia for example), Perez has only scored 3 more points than Bottas. Oh I don't mean everyone because there would have been stacking but he'd have still ended up 9-12th He wouldn't. Again, look at Alpine as an example. Ocon came out ahead of both Alfa's and Haas who were behind him in the pits. A drop of position was a possibility but with a decent pitstop unlikely....
