Re: Hamilton vs. Russell Predictions
To all of those predicting a lot of friction between George and Lewis, remember George's radio transmission at the Hungarian Grand Prix: “If you need to compromise my race to help Nicky, do it. I will box early to avoid the undercut for anyone else. Prioritize Nicky,” he said. George was on the verg...

Re: Hamilton vs. Russell Predictions
Great move by Mercedes. The regulation change really mixes things up. I think Hamilton will have the edge the first year. By year 2 I think Russell will surpass him. The third year Lewis will move to another team and begin to fade away. If George surpasses Lewis in 2023, I am betting that Lewis ret...

Re: Hamilton vs. Russell Predictions
How do we see this going, obv alot will depend on who adapts to the new regs. I predict russell over one lap and hamilton in the races gobbling him up on track I’m expecting Russell to at least provide the same kind of competitive challenge that Rosberg did. Hamilton has had it far too easy for far...

Re: 2021 Dutch Grand Prix Race Thread
How come Red Bull didn't pit/sacrifice Perez for a fastest lap attempt again? Would have lost WCC points by losing positions on track. Didn't stop them in Silverstone Do you REALLY think Checo would have had a chance to match Lewis best time on fresh tires??? ....especially as Checo would have been...

Proteins are needed to develop and maintain muscles. Carbs are needed to feed those muscles during practice and the event. As I understand, significant care/planning is needed for vegetarians/vegans to obtain sufficient protein intake, particularly for athletes. As far as high protein vegetables go...

Re: The Official Sir Lewis Hamilton thread
I would hope that Lewis gets some expert medical advice about his health and that Merc can find someone to help tailor his diet and training regimen to best get him back to 100%. The closer Lewis gets to 40 the more he will have trouble maintaining the same kind of fitness and driving skills that he...

Re: George Russell testing next years tyres/wheels for Mercedes
A lot of armchair pundits on the interwebs are taking this as evidence that Valtteri won't be back after the summer break.... ...and after the massive crashfest that he caused on lap one. I am guessing that Merc are going to use the test to get George more comfortably fitted in the car for the 2022 ...

Re: The Official Carlos Sainz Jr. Thread
So, 2 races in , how do you feel Sainz is doing so far? I think he's doing well even with a qualifying gap just over 3 tenths, given Leclerc's reputation and Sainz's newness to the team that's quite good, in the races he's brought the car home not far behind Leclerc admittedly with the help of the ...

Re: 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix Race Thread
Weird, I've been reliably informed by social media experts that COVID isn't a problem if you're healthy and in your thirties, so he should be absolutely fine. Good luck to Vettel and AM with that appeal, I'd hate to see them robbed of a result over something that silly. Can't imagine how it was abl...

Yeah, those three, though maybe in a different order. Alonso and Hamilton were the stars of the show. Ocon mostly just held onto a P1 he inherited. Props to Esteban for putting himself in that position early in the race.

Right more on topic I believe the title should be changed from Will to When will. :) Don’t jinx it ;) I don’t think it’ll be in Hungary though, that should suit Red Bull more and perhaps even Ferrari after their strong form in Monaco. After today's qualifying I would say that Max is going to have t...

Re: Is Ricciardo done?
Fate can be a funny thing. If Max Verstappen had never laced up a pair of driving boots, then Daniel Ricciardo might still be at Red Bull, widely regarded as an absolute top tier talent that has just never quite had the equipment capable of beating Hamilton and Mercedes. When a driver is struggling...

Have to wonder what Max is going to try tomorrow on the softs. They were hard pressed to last a full lap at flat out today.

Re: Official Valtteri Bottas Thread
I thought that Valtteri put in a uniquely poor showing today at the 2021 British Grand Prix. He started off by letting both Charles and Lando by at the start. He took way too long to repass Lando and then spent the rest of the race having nothing for Charles in the Ferrari. When Lewis was taken down...

Re: Inconsistent penalties (or lack of them) on first lap incidents
The 10 second penalty that Lewis got for the first lap incident seems very much in line with the other penalties that the FIA and the stewards have been handing out this year. The thing is, I think hamilton is the first one to get a penalty in the first lap in the last couple of years (excluding fa...

Everyone wants to see side by side, elbows out racing and that's what we had on lap 1. Sooner or later someone was going to lose it.
Now we have a whole bunch of folks complaining that we had a great battle and their favorite lost.

Re: 2021 British Grand Prix FP & Qualy/Sprint Thread
Freddy and Kimi both benefited from the "Sprint Race" by improving their grid positions. Checo pulled a bonehead move and a dangerous re-entry. and cost himself about 15 grid positions for tomorrow. Other than that it was sort of a non-event for me. I am not a fan of the Sprint Race idea for F1 even...

I thought Ricciardo did a very good job today from a miserable starting spot.
