Re: BEST F1 Innovations EVER

Q: If renault pioneered the pneumatic valve train, how would the other teams get to know about it and more importantly copy it :?: What do you mean IF ? Of course it took years for others to catch up, not sure how other teams found out, likely after hearing an engine turn 14000 RPM on the track for...

Re: BEST F1 Innovations EVER

In the last 20 years the most important innovation in GP racing continues to be pneumatic valve trains. Renault engines dominated the sport in the 1990's and had they not left the sport in 1998 would have continued with Williams to dominate into the 2000's IMO. They had an advantage for 6 seasons, ...

Best in what sense? Best invention that ended up or is going to end up making lives of us mortals easier? Or one that benefited to the sport (as in F1 cars or technology). Q: The 1.6 turbos from 2014. Does anyone have an idea how much BHP they will deliver? Potentially more than current engines but there will be RPM restrictions in place and the peak output will be similar to current engines and it will be coupled with more powerful KERS. Thanks for that. So around t...

Redbull gives you RaceCRAFT, or is it WINGS 8)

anyone remember back in the day. Schumi would be say 30 seconds behind the leader and with half a race to go he would just post full quali laps.

He did it time and time again and usually managed the win.

Thats gow good was his racecraft.
