Re: More cars for top teams.
Please no.
Mercedes just needs to make its own feeder team like red bull has done.
Not Williams or FI, a new team.

Re: 2018 Belgian Grand Prix Race Thread
Alonso's car wouldn't have hit Leclerc on the head without the halo but that's hardly the point. I argued against the halo and I argued against it with my eyes open well aware that their are situations it could help in. With that in mind seeing an incident where it did help (this wasn't one) is not...

Re: 2018 Belgian Grand Prix Race Thread
It must have been a slightly humbling experience for Ocon. Perez had his number on this occasion. Gasly looked a level or two above Hartley who at least rear gunned manfully when asked. It was a very difficult one for the Renault team, next race won't be easy either. They could come under pressure ...

Re: Alonso's legacy in F1
Alonso will serve as a reminder of how much of this sport is about the car you drive rather than the skills of the driver.
As such, make no moves to alienate the top teams in the sport, otherwise even one of the best will be regulated to the best of the rest series.

Stroll & his partners also now have the careers of over 400 people in their hands. I'm not convinced his consortium bought FI just as a toy for Lance to play with. Well I sincerely hope not anyway. I'm wondering if Lance doesn't drive for Force India next year and goes into team management instead. A similar thing happened when the Diniz family bought into Prost.... It's not going to be an easy decision when it comes to Checo & Ocon. Checo gets $12 million in sponsorship money .......... Is that going to be a factor anymore with the Stroll money. Re: Force India goes into Administration!
So I guess the pressure is on Lance Stroll to perform next season.
If he continues to finish near the bottom with a much better car than the Williams he is currently in, that says all there is to say about him deserving to be in Formula One.

I think that it's a pretty legitimate concern, especially after what HAAS has pulled off this season. Renault.
I started watching in the 2000s and they were competative and their cars always stood out.
I like watching them now because they are making strides towards respectability

This was a brutal day of racing. The weather was very hot and humid, that alone is something no one wants to go through. The track is still bumpy and with those walls, one a driver must adjust to every corner. Even though it had more than it's fair share of chaos and cautions, I love this kind of s...
