Byrne vs Newey

One a successful engineer who lead design teams at Bennetton and Ferrari that won World Championships. The other, at three teams over 20 years. Which is the better F1 engineer and why? Which one would win in a bar fight and why?

Re: So, Red Bull win in Hungary and Vettel wins at Spa...

I don't think it's that unlikely - in fact at this point I've tipped them as outsiders to win it. Hungaroring has historically favoured the Red Bull car, even in recent years. It's also proven to be one of Ricciardo's best tracks (along with Monaco).

Great commitment, Mayhem. They really need to update how quickly the competition updates. I'd have thought it were as simple as typing in the results and then a program apportions all the points.. Alas, not. Congrats How F1. To get the top four correct is pretty impressive. I was stoked just to get ...

On top of the retirements for Ricciardo already mentioned from this year, he had a haul of rotten luck at the back end of last year too. The two finished on remarkably close points because Max made 57 points in races Ricciardo suffered mechanical failures (Abu Dhabi - Hydraulics; Mexico - Turbo; USA...

I’ve wondered why they haven’t incorporated the driver eye view in the world feed yet. Other motor sports use it so why not F1??? They had been getting there in recent years. I reckon the introduction of the halo has probably put that camera on the backburner though. Liberty does seem to be bringin...

The fact nothing has come out regarding Raikkonen and Ricciardo's contracts for next year suggests to me there could be more to the Ferrari link than many of us may have believed.

I'm not sure it's right to presume it's Codemasters that is forcing the drivers to do the video quickly, either. It'd make a lot more sense to me if it were the F1 drivers who couldn't be bothered doing virtual laps for an hour just to piece together a really good one. There probably isn't much exci...

Can't believe it's taken this long to bring up this one. It was obviously the way to go when they started adding a couple of new compounds every year. I preferred it with Bridgestone when there were the unmarked tyre and the tyre with the white ring. That was as simple as simple could be. Though now...

I think the idea is a farce. It would only serve to confuse the vast majority of F1 viewers. The more avid of fans, such as most of those on F1 forums, will know the truth. I'd prefer to forget trying to trick people into thinking they are buying an Alfa or Infinity that is developed by F1 teams......

Having the Renault engine might be the way to go next year, given it seems the Honda engine might not be as improved as it appeared at times earlier this year. Honda engine too slow for Toro Rosso to score points – Gasly Perhaps Ricciardo isn't convinced Red Bull has made the right move for 2019.

I disagree with the proposal. I also didn't want to see points down to 10th when it was brought in, but this is a whole different level of bad. Soon it'll be like those other series where drivers finish the season with 3000 points. Points should be awarded for success, not for making it to the end. ...
