OFF TOPIC but if I were Hamilton, the P1 would make me regret leaving the team. I'm sure Button and (maybe even Perez) can negotiate a free one, just like they did with the mp4-12c. maybe because both defected and are contracted to mercedes and are not allowed to appear in non-mercedes functions. just a guess.... Rosberg did 1m20.723s on softs, only less than a couple tenths slower than Hamilton's time yesterday, but pitted much sooner than Hamilton did.

Hamilton was the fastest when everyone was on intermediate, and then Button posted a slower lap on mediums than Hamilton's fastest lap on mediums after the track continued to dry up! That Mercedes in the hands of Hamilton is certainly looking capable of winning in Melbourne, wet or dry!!!
