Re: 2018 British Grand Prix Race Thread
I now see how that reads differently from what I was trying to say. I was gonna say, that I doubt Ferrari care if Kimi ruins his own race if it helps Vettel. Not that Ferrari told him to do it. But they could have told him to do whatever it takes to get past him if he gets the chance. I don't think...

Re: 2018 British Grand Prix Race Thread
I said that they should try not to take anyone out, not just Mercedes. It just so happened that it was Merc they hit so they are vocal about it. It's not that there should be new rules just because of what happened. All I'm saying is that I hope they are more careful to not take a merc out again. T...

Re: 2018 British Grand Prix Race Thread
I don’t recall there being anywhere near as much outrage when Bottas punted Kimi twice in Spain and Baku last year. Both Mercedes and Hamilton are very good at using the media to slander their opponents. Mercedes falsely accuse Ferrari of cheating with their battery. Hamilton falsely accuses Raikko...

I'm throwing it out there if it keeps happening, at the moment it's just a coincidence, not even that really, I would say Mercedes are just kind of making the FIA take notice. Both accidents were obviously just racing incidents even though both drivers were penalised, obviously Vettel gains nothing...

While one can debate back and forth about how the final outcome would be if not for the incident between Kimi and Ham, and perhaps not be able to come to an agreement. There ought not to be place for arguing how Vettel hence did not earn his win, or it was not deserved, or it was not an achievement....

You completely ignore the fact that Ferrari has now taken out a Merc two races in a row. Like Toto said, "either they are incompetent or it was deliberate", either way not acceptable. Lewis had the pace and made up lost time, finishing only a few seconds behind Seb Vettel in the end. So, if he didn...

I wonder why is it so that when a strategist makes a wrong call, or a guy fails to screw properly that nut on the wheel, then it is being seen as the "team" letting down the driver rather than that individual letting down the team. I don't see why Kimi would get the win over Vettel. He qualified behind him and had a luck to start from P3 due to Vettel incurring the 3-grid penalty. And then both Merc took themselves out. And he didn't win it. On the other hand, Vettel starting from P6 ending on the podium was the max achievemen...

If you are in front you are exposed, I wonder if ALL the top 4 would have pitted still if Hamilton did. VSC had no impact on the final result. I dunno it depends on what the issue was. Temps were really high, Lewis was in traffic and pushing to the max on his engine.
