Re: Is Leclerc dropping the ball?

I think the answer is no. Driver61 did a breakdown off all Leclerc's errors and showed he has made the same number of errors Hamilton made last year and fewer errors than Verstappen made last year. The difference was that Hamilton and Max largely got away with their errors through luck and they nev...

Re: Who will finish P2 in the WDC/WCC?

based on the last five races, Hamilton comes second with Leclerc Sainz Russell all close for third. (Table is sortable by clicking the header cells) But this is the best case projection for Hamilton as he's had a great run of races. I think Leclerc will get second unless his relationship with the t...

Re: Is Leclerc dropping the ball?

The problem for Leclerc here is though Ferrari make errors, when Ferrari makes this errors he's also a part of the errors, but when he makes his errors its solely on him. His main weakness as fast as he is he cant read a race, if Ferrari is not outright fastest on the day you will always fear for hi...

I would rather like to see new talent on the grid.
You are, Piastri is basically replacing Vettel.
I would rather see two new talents.
Exactly Alonso has nothing more to offer but AM needs a big name after Vettel departure and I guess Alpine were just tired of his shenanigans.

Re: 2022 Hungarian Grand Prix Race Thread

While it was a very poor race for Perez in terms of pace, he did manage to crucially protect Max in the aftermath of the spin by holding up Russell and preventing him getting position. Laps stuck behind Russell could have potentially cost Verstappen the win. I heard Perez lost 10 seconds at one of ...

Just one question now that another championship is thrown into the bin : When does Binotto (and a good part of the race staff) follow the championship ?
Not going to happen as Binotto is the brain behind the engine resurgence.

The problem with Ferrari today was they lost pace during the race.

On the soft they were slow.
They were slower than Hamilton to be precise.
Precise about what exactly you think they would have been faster than the Redbull if it was on the softs.

in 09 he crashed out of three of the first six races. That's a lot worse than Leclerc. In 2010 he crashed twice all season which so far is the same as Leclerc. He did make other errors... poor starts and the penalty in Hungary etc. Over both seasons Vettel had 8 retirements. 4 crashes and 4 reliabi...

Vettel 09/10 possibly. Hamilton in 08 maybe. But this was much earlier in their careers than Leclerc who is now in his 5th season. Vettel 09/10? when vast majority of his failure was reliability? There is no way Mercedes don’t win at least one race this year. We’re 11 races into the season and they already have scored 10 podiums. They are the third fastest car, but (especially in recent races) much closer to the leading duo than say, BMW were in 2007. It’s inevitable that we’ll have a race ...
