Re: 2023 British Grand Prix Race Thread
Norris may celebrate, but it's becoming more and more obvious. Piastri is already a match for him. Had decreased the gap, got an undercut, and would've been ahead if not for the safety car.

Re: 2023 British Grand Prix Free Practice & Qualifying Thread
Sainz: Charles was P3, I was P4, so I overtook him. Classic Sainz. Saying Because he was slower, he should get the advantage and potentially mess up the other driver, going against team directions. Sainz doesn't trust Ferrari team strategy, an approach that has served him well thus far. Will serve ...

I don't think he's improved much. Just looking less disreputable next to a very disreputable driver.

Re: 2023 Austrian Grand Prix Race Thread
I'm tired of Sainz. Not fast enough compared to Leclerc, so if he's in DRS he starting politics on the radio, claiming he's faster and should be let by. Underhand git. Now that he isn't in Charles' DRS, he's magically falling away. And now he gets a time penalty, haha. This man is too much talk and ...

Hulkenberg showing up Magnussen again this race. Makes you wonder how he would be doing in the second Red Bull seat. Leclerc validating what I said earlier. He feels he's nowhere on damp tracks. Fast in the dry, fast in the wet, but slow in damp conditions.

Re: 2023 Spanish Grand Prix Free Practice & Qualifying Thread
That looked a bit stupid from hamilton to me. Why was he tying to drive into that gap? Some serious breakdown in communication in the Mercedes garage, but also weird how Hamilton first left it late and then ended up at the same piece of tarmac as his teammate. Maybe Sainz slowing on the inside of R...

Alonso & Verstappen on almost equal stats
Both are on 2 WDCs, 38 vs 32 wins. Max has 23 poles, Fernando has 22. Max and Fernando both have 23 fastest laps. Fernando has 2136 points, Max is only 5.5 points behind at 2130.5. After today, Max could be ahead of him on almost all big statistics except number of podiums. Just random observation. :)

I doubt Hamilton will be able to overtake a ferrari even with DRS though... he could barely overtake Stroll with it.

Re: 2023 Azerbaijan Grand Prix FP & Qualy/Sprint Thread
A whole qualifying session, a whole day, focused on this 17 laps procession. I hate being a diehard fan who has to compulsively watch everything F1, but maybe days like this will break my habit. What a waste.
