Re: 2017 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Race Thread

I cannot emphasize enough what a terrible track Abu Dhahi is. It’s the worst circuit layout I’ve ever seen. Half of the corners are completely pointless. Agree one million percent. I was going to make a thread about it, but the heck with it. I knew someone in here felt the same. It's beyond horrible.

Re: The End of an American Motorsports Broadcasting Institut

I started watching Formula 1 with interest and regularity midway through the 2002 season. So I watched the Varsha, Matchett, Hobbs combo who I believe came together permanently in 2004. Varsha's loss was painful. Hobbs and Matchett going stings worse, because Hobbs made me chuckle and I loved listen...

Looks to be dry in Australia for all three classes. 93 is dominating in terms of pace in all conditions. Both Ducatis qualified poorly—hope Dovi can stage a comeback through the field, it’ll be a monumental challenge.

Re: Any advice for someone attending COTA F1 race first time

Love the Texas Star at the end of the long straight in the runoff area, that's new this year.

I haven't been to F1 2013, but attend MotoGP every year (I like bikes more).

I may cruise up to Austin this weekend and get a GA ticket and walk around; there is so much to see even with a GA ticket.

Really, REALLY interesting grid for the race. Obviously the tricky conditions do not favor Yamaha, at least not the factory team. Hope Vinales gets a dry race, otherwise he's toast. Marquez a solid third, and probably licking his chops for the race, as he could take a commanding lead with a good res...

Re: Formula One Losing in Malaysia

Sensational circuit, probably my favorite on the calendar. Loved the variety of corners, and the back and front straight the way they are adjacent. No ridiculous runoff anywhere, beautful, huge, gravel traps. Until recently, where they added some runoff, but not much.

Very, very sad to see it go.

Played more F1 2017 last night, and left a lot of the aids on. Just decided to take the medicine and as I improve, remove them. Playing without TC on the normal game pad is a nightmare, and I think, impossible. Baku is a great deal of fun, but missing the braking points is so punishing. I really lov...

Because it'd very likely hinder movement so much to cause crashes, or awkward riding and very slow times. I believe they can ballast the motorcycle, but in Pedrosa's case, it doesn't make enough of a difference. Being agile and nimble on the bike is everything. I think I've read somewhere that Pedro...

Jono- When the conditions are favorable to him, yes, he rides very well. Said favorable conditions have becoming a lot more sparse in the Michelin era. I own guns. I live in Texas too. They've never bothered me, and I've enjoyed shooting them, my father taught me when I was in grade school. So, I've been around them all my life, and i was taught about them when I was relatively young, which eliminated (in my opinion) any dangerous curiosity. I'm gr...

Cutting downforce and increasing power has been something that I've pined for, for years---I think the racing would be better, it would be visibly much better, and the spectacle from the top to the bottom of the field would improve in terms of battles in my opinion.
