Re: 2014 Austrian GP Practice and Qualifying Thread
Has anyone seen the reaction from Williams daughter when Massa took the pole, she didn't look happy and immediately changed her expression when she saw that she was on TV, lol. Nice question, I do wonder what the record for that must be. As the good sir/madam above me said, it'll probably be a Monaco (or maybe Hungary?) race, but for the vast majority of the race they were less than 1.5 seconds apart. I don't see how that could be beaten to be honest!

I've never liked Monaco! Max has shown some pretty reasonable quali pace this season, his race pace has been nowhere though unfortunately. Definite improvement through, I'd say he deserves to be on the grid now.

I rate his 2nd half of 2013 the same as Button's second half of 2011: he was just about the only driver who could get close to Vettel. I love new Grosjean; his raw pace can't be doubted since he qualified 3rd on his comeback in 2012 and now he has the racecraft to go with it. Judging by the content ...

I don't really know why there's all the objection to this, exchaust shape is one of the least artificial ways to improve the noise. The engines aren't going to change any time soon, it's either this or putting speakers on the car that play an mp3 of a V12 engine.

Pirelli's first season in 2011 was actually pretty good from memory without any huge issues - I suspect they were conservative.
