Incredible...the Sky announcer just said that McLaren was THE fastest car through the corners in China and are so here in Bahrain. I had no idea that was true. The McLaren chassis has incredible grip, but just no power he said.
Why can't all the McLaren haters here this news???

15 minutes before start and Alonso's car is still in the garage. McLaren must be furiously working up to the last minute.
Edit: Not Alonso's car....it's just on his side of the garage. His teammate may not start. Major problems with the Honda engine (big surprise).

Honda has no idea why Alonso's engine failed. It could have been the heat, the sand, whatever, they dont know. Alonso's new engine will be run uncalibrated and to improve survivability, will be detuned rather significantly so that it does not blow up. How Alonso has the fortitude to sit in front of...

Do teams higher lap dogs for Alonso or does his superiority make them lap dogs. For 9 seasons of his career he's partnered drivers who have been with the team longer than him. So I refute the idea teams some how go out and higher number 2's. In fact he has driven alongside 4 world champions and a v...

Upper seats in J are great seats... the key is the word UPPER! The Indy veterans say that you should never buy a seat that does not have double letters.. ie Row BB or CC or such. J is just on the exit of Turn 4 as they head to the start finish line. You will be able to see the cars dive into turn 3...

Re: Fernando Alonso rumour
This looks to me as one of the worst decisions in strings of bad decisions Alonso made. Monaco could be the one of the precious few real chances for Mclaren to score well. Alonso does not know oval racing by experience, and he has no experience in battles and customs of Indy 500. Remember when Sato...

I'm gob smacked, first of all it shows a lack of commitment to the F1 project, secondly racing on a super speedway is far more dangerous than F1, Alonso could get injured. This reminds me a bit of Kubica's rallying exploits which finished his F1 career. However with Alonso in the field it's a race ...

Good for Fred. Putzing around with that Honda engine has to be beyond demoralizing for him. Indy is only 4 hours from my home. I may try to attend this year's race all because of him!

Re: DOTW China - Officially Unofficial Driver Of The Weekend
These cars are good, but overtaking is a problem. I don't agree. Verstappen, Vettel, Grosjean, a good number of drivers proving yesterday that you can overtake in these cars. What it does require is decisiveness, agressiveness. That is not a bad thing at all and if we see overtakings like yesterday...
