To your wildcard idea, 2nd tier teams are already customer teams of top tier teams. Mercedes/ Ferrari/ Renault all have customer teams which they help. Yeah I know that, but I meant that The top tier team provides a 2nd tier team a car for the weekend to race as a wild card in the top tier. It work...

Mayhem, on your point, what about a NASCAR style finals series? So have a championship to determine a top 6 (For example) and those top 6 then fight it out in a finals series to determine the champion? And I stopped watching NASCAR when they went to the playoff format. Personally, I want to see a l...

I was thinking 30 when I saw the title. Good round number.
We don't have right proper back markers anymore. We need teams like Minardi and Jordan to bring in the next best thing. There's no underdog back marker cheering for. I think we need these battlers almost as much as we need top level teams

And now Gasly will sit out Austin to finish the Super Formula season, according to autosport this has something to do with Franz Tost being keen to evaluate another driver for 2018. Wonder who that'd be, then? Scott Speed? ;) One of my mates said he read somewhere that it's Brandon Hartley, but I c...

As Red Bull are looking to deleverage from F1 it's highly unlikely they will want to spend 20m+ on Alonso for a possible extra two tenths and a lot more attitude. This. I think Red Bull racing's days are numbered now. My guess is that they won't be around when the rules change in 2021. Perhaps the ...

Great, now this forum is going to wind up on some sort of watchlist, just as I was starting to find my voice. It would depend on when the event occurred; Mid-season, it would go to the leader at that point in time. Pre-season, it would be null, because there's no championship that year. The year wou...

I put collision after lap 1. I have no evidence to support this, but I feel like Vettel can have brain farts when pressure is on and he's needing to overtake. I see him more as a front of the field bully.
