Re: Few Teams but High Level

2008 and 2009 there was nearly nothing between the entire field. Every team except Williams had either a win or a pole in those 2 seasons. Adding the 3 teams in 2010 was a disaster. Not a good news week for Williams, is it? Although I'd welcome more cars on the grid, the three that were chose...

Re: It's getting harder to be a Williams fan

I said at the time that it seemed to me that Paddy Lowe was claiming to have a lot to do with the success at Mercedes, but I couldn't see the evidence to suggest that was the case. I wasn't expecting him to be a success at Williams. Was Paddy getting too big for his boots at Mercedes and Wolf and L...

Re: SportPesa Racing Point F1 (Livery Only)Revealed!

If this year's wings look like snow ploughs, what do last years look like? To each their own but personally i'm glad to be rid of those monstrosities. I think it's the end plates that make these new wings look bad, and you only really see them from a side on view. They just look very "agricultural"...

I don't understand why Red Bull time and time again come out with a 'testing livery' which we all know will be the standard come Melbourne.
I do hope they continue with the 'matt' finish, as its at least different.

Alfa Romeo will just be the Ferrari version of Toro Rosso.
However, with Haas getting the support from them too (do they still?) Do we have in effect 6 Ferraris on the grid?

I honestly don't know if I could stomach another Mercedes domination season.
If it turns out to be the case, you'd be as well skipping rest of 2019 and 2020 seasons and wait for 2021 to save us!

Bottas - Overrated.
Gasly - Overrated.
Leclerc - We shall see.
Magnussen - about right
Grosjean - about right
Sainz - slightly overrated.
Perez - slightly underrated.
Stroll - about right. Nobody rates him
Raikkonen - Underrated.

I think Leclerc also cannot be underrated, the hype around him now is so huge that next year he only can be find out as overrated (as many people picking him to beat Vettel). from the rest... I think i will go with Hulk, I believe he has a good shot to beat Ricciardo next year which will make peopl...

Best most competitive I remember F1 was about 2008-2009.
Within that window every team bar Williams managed either a pole position or a race win.

Decent season overall.
first few races after the summer break were very meh! But enjoyed the 'fly away races'.

Biggest concern for me is the ENORMOUS gap between the top 3 teams and the rest. Its horrible.
Only 1 podium all season not from Ferrari, Red Bull, Mercedes. Thats appalling.

I actually hate the current format and find it dreadfully dull. It worked from 2006-13 when either the cars were close enough that anyone could go out at anytime or varied fuel loads meant the same but since then it's just been a waiting game as the same old names get dropped in Q1 and 2. I'm prett...

we need a full grid of 13 teams again - 26 cars.
Or even more than that with prequalifying.
But who in their right mind would want to enter F1 these days?

Red Bull have 2 teams.
Ferrari have Haas as B team, Sauber as C team in all but name.
Mercedes probably feel they are missing out.

I know this is about track layout, but I just can't get excited with something that looks like a painted parking lot. It looks plain bad.
