Re: Maldanado - Does He Deserve A Ban?
I don't think the number is anywhere near 99%, capt. And why do we not hear screams for a banning from the paddock? It would seem that fans are more uptight than are the drivers and the teams, why would that be? Could it be because fans are overreacting? Well it seems there are more in favour of a ...

Re: Maldanado - Does He Deserve A Ban?
It seems from the posts so far 99% of people would have banned Maldanado for the incidents prior to the one with Hamilton. That probably says as much about Hamilton as it does the incident, but I think the question posed in the thread title has been answered. Yes he deserves a ban. I guess he feels ...

Re: Maldanado - Does He Deserve A Ban?
Schumacher was thrown out of the championship completely in 1997 for ramming into another driver on purpose. Maldonado has done this on at least two occasions now, possibly three if you include yesterday. He's not had a single race ban yet. It's not a good look from the FIA. He should have been giv...

Re: Maldanado - Does He Deserve A Ban?
No. Care to elaborate your point of view? If Hamilton didn't get any ban for many types of his trespasses from 2008 and beyond, there is no point in asking the same for someone else. I understand Hamilton fans fantasizing about Maldonado being banned, but let's get real. FIA would already handle th...

Re: Maldanado - Does He Deserve A Ban?
I wonder how many of the people now calling for PM to be banned, voiced that sentiment last year, when the very experienced LH took out drivers over and over? Ah, wait, of course, it was always the other driver's fault and any penalty handed out to LH was just proof of racism within FIA. It's racin...

Re: Maldanado - Does He Deserve A Ban?
On the one hand, many drivers early in their careers have a lot of accidents. Grosjean did, as did Kobayashi. On the other hand, where as their crashes were caused by what be termed "youthful exhuberance", it seems that Maldonado is all too happy to deliberately use his car as a weapon when he feel...

Maldanado - Does He Deserve A Ban?
So after today we have another incident added to the long list of irresponsible behaviour by Maldonado (ignoring yellow flags and hitting a marshal and nearly killing him at Monaco in 2005, swerving into Hamilton at Spa, forcing Perez into the barriers during practice at Monaco.). Without wanting to...

Re: What Can Mclaren & Button Learn From Using Hamiltons Set
So what I can gather from the responses is that they are using the set up hamilton has because he has found a way to get the most out of the tyres with the car having less downforce on the rear this year and that it is better to start from a set-up that is working in this manner? I am assuming that ...

Re: What Can Mclaren & Button Learn From Using Hamiltons Set
If they have so different driving styles how can the have near identical traces on the telemetry? It makes no sense, to me anyway! Also, if Mclaren want a base to work from, to spot problems specific to Button, why go to his team-mates set-up? What are the specific parts of his team mates set up tha...

tedkravitz Lewis Hamilton could be in trouble with race stewards again - he's just been called to answer Rosberg's charge that LH ruined his lap.. tedkravitz To explain: Lewis slowed down at the end of his out lap to make a gap ahead. I do not believe that Ferrari have improved much, the car is terrible. Squirming around, locking up... and plain slow. Think they can be counted out of the championship. Vettel or Hamilton will take it. P.S. Raikkonen for the win tomorrow. 8 winners in 8 races. You can't be serious? Button is in P1...

Its all pure speculation though isn't it. There is alot of conclusions drawn from very little evidence there. If RBR run a non Renault engine they will still be competitive, I doubt they'd struggle to find a top engine for their design. If the v6's don't go ahead it will be the ultimate farce in Fo...

There was an interesting column in last week's Autosport about whether or not Vettel has some kind of deal in place with Ferrari for 2014.
