Re: Updated: Ricciardo DSQ for breach of fuel flow limit.
The team chose to run the car using their fuel flow model, without direction from the FIA. This is a violation of the procedure within TD/ 01614. That alone would be enough. FIA: You have to attach this little thing to your car. RB: No thanks, we'll add our own instead. It's really not going to fl...

@danielt_johnson Red Bull immediately say they will appeal. FIA say red bull were notified and refused to make corrections If that's true then sorry but Red Bull fully deserved this. I could be wrong but I think the light on the airbox is to do with ERS. To let the engineers know it ok to touch? Yes. Green = Safe, Yellow = Fried mechanic. That's about it. I believe no light = ?! so it's treated as a yellow. Rosbergs wasn't on when he came into parc ferme, he sat and waite...

Not fair at all, they should dsq Redbull points and not Dans! Whilst I can appreciate that comment from a fans point of view, when you look at it logically, that's never going to be a solution. Yes - it sucks big time for Daniel. But at the end of the day it's Red Bull's fault, not the FIA. The rul...

An all electric engine, with F1 merging with Formula E to create E1.
Then we'll go from 200kw to 150kw to 100kw over the space of 15 years, followed be a move to cars powered by a yet to be discovered engery source.

Re: 2014 Rolex Australian Grand Prix Free Practice and Qualy
I think this was just a timing thing. The track was drying with every lap, Lewis just had an extra lap as did Ricciardo. It could have easily been Nico on pole. I wonder if Vettel has been shown up by Ricciardo? That was a comprehensive drubbing! Ricciardo was a whopping 1.156 seconds faster than V...

Toro Rosso will most certainly not finish judging by the number of offs they were having. They dont seem to be having any noticable engine issues though.

Doubt it will be - there's next to no profit in WP8 for developers. I gave up on it a while ago. My profits on WP8 were near zero, compared to iOS and Android which were massive in comparison. It's a dead platform as far as support for decent apps is concerned.

OP: I believe BBC still do a free timing screen feed - give it a shot during FP3. It should be on at bbc.co.uk/f1 If you're outside the UK you may be out of luck unless you can find youself a UK proxy to use (and before the mods jump on me - this actually is 100% legal. I dont mind the sound, but they need to turn the microphones up. They seem way too quiet from an audio level point of view. I think BT sport will takeover from BBC soon, which will be a better alternative for most people as it comes at a cheaper price than Sky sports and is free with BT broadband. If you wanted my opinion on the coverage from both I'd say the BBC is too silly and Sky does far too may boring and needless VTs. Bear in mind Sky own PF1... As vince said - No they don't. BSkyB owned 360 Media, who owned TeamTalk Media, who own PF1. However in 2011 the TeamTalk Media management in South Africa bought it out from Sky. The only relation Sky has to Pf1 these days is the SkyBet paid adverts. http://en.wikipedia....

2. Button
3. Rosberg

Cars running slower = less air flow = cooling problems.
Cars running on slippy surface = more wheelspin = more work required by the engine = heat.

The way i understand it is the two hour limit is the hard and fast defacto end point It's actually not as hard as you may think. In 2012 we had a race (Japan IIRC) that was about 2 hours and 3 minutes long. There had been a long stoppage due to rain, and basically it was a case of either stop 2 lap...

TBH I think it'll be more like All merc-engine teams vs All merc-engine teams.
From what we've seen so far if the Ferrari and Renault engines dont improve signficantly It's a completely open championship to anyone with a Mercedes engine strapped to their car.
