This is my first time really getting into Le Mans 24hours. I was just wondering: Mark Wevver had the fastest time in qualifying yesterday night, only for the session to be red flagged by a crash, does that mean he is on pole or was that like Q1 or something? Re: Hamilton Vs Rosberg - Luck

When the electrics failed, the rear brakes had to take over the load the KERS was doing, namely provide some braking force. If you are in a race and the electrics failed in such a manner, it doesn't take a genius to connect the dots and realize that brakes that were already on the limit would be as...

The fans are dying off? I'm not being completely facetious, there is almost zero promotion of the sport, and being primarily pay per view makes it almost impossible for a casual viewer to happen upon it and become a fan. Sky and SkySportsNews are showing F1 news a lot. I can't see why the fans woul...

Merc themselves said they don't know if the electronics failure was even connected to the brake failure either. It could have been that Lewis cooked his brakes in the dirty air of Rosberg anyway. Hamilton's breaks failed because he was not running in clear air. He wasn't running in clear air because Nico did a better job in qualifying. Doesn't sound like luck to me. That's strange logic. Still, it was not luck that Nico drove superbly to finish in second. He made up for his loss in energy by putting in sublime pace for the first two sectors each lap. I find this very interesting, but I'm not sure if it reflects on the true consistency of the drivers. Isn't this more of a NASCAR table rather than consistency table. I usually prefer to watch the BBC coverage. Brundle really annoys me, he just doesn't seem to be aware of the finer points. Shocked that it's only a 5 place grid drop, given how serious the accident he caused was. In my opinion, I don't think it should have been more. The FIA are way too strict these days, and they must realise that drivers cannot be 100% perfect when battling for position. Yes, it was Perez' fault that...

I think that Vettel has been quite good this season. He has been a bit unfortunate when he missed out on Q3 in Bahrain and he has had terrible luck in some races. Having said that, Ricciardo still had bad luck as well in Malyasia and Australia. But Kimi, for me, has been more disappointing. It's bee...

Massa for me, mostly because I feel sorry for his lonely 0 votes, and that people are giving him a lot of stick that isn't deserved. Great race by him, but seemed to struggle to pass the RBs, perhaps because they were getting equal tow and DRS as Massa. Hamilton struggled to pass Seb without the aid...

If Perez hadn't flung out his car on the way into turn one to the left, Massa would not have collided. I'm pretty sure the racing line is not to swerve to the left whilst braking. Massa had already committed to the move when Perez moved over. Racing incident, in my view, although most of the blame g...

7/10 3 points taken away because it took a serious issue with the Mercs to liven up the GP. Otherwise it would have been regular processional race. But it turned out to be a great race due to it. 140/140 :) Best race since Valencia in 2012, me thinks. Feel so gutted that Felipe ended in the wall. Williams picked up a miserable 6 points today and I would have given anything to see Felipe on that podium on more time; Ricciardo would have gotten another chance again, but Felipe will never get a...

Kimi just isn't on alonsos level Tbh, I don't think anyone they could have realistically brought in would be on Alonso's level. TBH Alonso is overrated. In the long term, probably, Kimi and Alonso are both approaching the end of their careers and really don't have that much left in them. Ah, now, Japan was at the start with Kimi's front wing catching his car. If you watch the start again, it's extremely tight into the first corner. Alonso would never won a race like Hamilton in Bahrain. Not in the same league as Bahrain 2014 but Nurburgring 2007 was a good old scrap between himself and Massa I think Alonso holding off Schumacher for pretty much half a race at Imola in 2005 would count as similar to Hamilton's Bahrain win tbh....

Re: Never beaten by team-mates?

Yeah, soccer, much like F1, has to keep the priorities to the fans sometimes. My friends and I always wanted the Golden Goal system, thinking that it would encourage offensive play. I didn't realise it was in tournaments before and that it would encourage defensive play.
