Re: Sergio Perez
I think he's the most underrated driver in F1. You have to be very good to do so many podiums in midfield cars. Probably close to the top 3 Alonso/Hamilton/Vettel and similar to Bottas/Kimi/Button and such. I think he's better than Hulk too.

Re: Are F1 Drivers the Best?
Glorified go-cart jockeys. The best drivers are undoubtedly in rallying. The car control is incredible, the road surface is constantly varying and unpredictable, plus they don't get to hone it to perfection from lap to lap. If they push a bit too hard it's not a trip to the run-off and come back on...

I can just imagine putting some technology to use that will enable such interaction - just imagine watching a GP and seeing, say, Sainz's car suddenly go into a spin for no apparent reason, followed by the graphic 'Sainz55 has been tagged by oOoJolyon3548oOo.' Can't really compare onboards without knowing how many aero both cars have. Maybe the McLaren is again going lower on aero to limit the loss on the straights so they go also slower in corners, who knows.

I can see a Wehrlein/Stroll swap in 2018 unless Stroll improves dramatically. Wehrlein would be a better fit for a solid midfield team like Williams, and Sauber would welcome Stroll money and Stroll would not finish much lower than his team mate because can't be lower than last (his team-mate being ...

It's the spanish GP at Jerez this weekend. I bet for the Yamahas, this track has usually been more suited to them rather than the Hondas. Viñales for the win here, but Rossi will do well too I think, he won it last year.

Re: Are these new 2017 cars a complete failure?
I wouldn't call them a complete failure, but so far they have mostly failed to achieve what they set out to achieve (2 or 3 second faster laps) while delivering the negative aspects as predicted (less overtaking). So not exactly a success either. As others have already said, the fact that Ferrari a...

Incredibly dull racing, almost non existing wheel to wheel action, almost zero overtakes... the air turbulences are so huge that the drivers lose the grip even being 2 seconds behind. Should we go back to the narrower, smaller, 2016 cars? This is a serious question. Or else, what should be done to ...

Vettel could get close enough but other factors, including the Mercedes engine on the straights, meant he couldn't get into a position to perform an overtake. A few more laps and there probably would have been an opportunity. It actually made it more exciting for me. If he had simply arrived at the...

However, now that I remember, it might have been not such a luxury if we take in count that engines in theory were not allowed to be modified at all during those latest years, therefora Honda could try to copy the best designed one that resulted to be mercedes. They failed though

I'd pick Hamilton over vettel because of a sole reason... Overall I'd pick Alonso over both because Alonso i...

Re: Should McLaren leave F1? Concentrate on Sportscars?
It's difficult to understand, really. Because Honda took a while to win their first F1 championship as an engine supplier in the 80s, as they could only do it in 1987, though their engine was already one of the best in the grid. When the turbos were banned, they made a great V10 engine off the bat....

So, all the midfield and backmarker teams should leave F1 aswell? Since they wont be winning either.
Lets end up with a 6 car grid with the top 3 teams only.

If Montoya won two times (last one with 39 y/o) and Alex Rossi won it on his debut, Alonso can do it too.
