Missed it, must watch it on Iplayer, Galloway's always good value for a few crowd pleasing one-liners - trust him as far as could throw him though.

Can honestly say that in 20-years of following F1 I’ve never once given a thought (or bothered) about whether someone was gay, but 8O I can’t remember the last thread that reached 6 pages inside of a day! That’s just mental!! Still not bothered though :-P

I’ve been writing a comment for the last wee while, but keep deleting what I’ve wrote because it’s almost an impossible question, so I’ll forget that. But I take great heart from the fact that such a diverse lot of us F1 fans from all over the world can even come together on a forum and debate such ...

Re: Kubica Ferrari Test?

Will Kubica ever return? I'm not convinced, if he does I find it hard to believe he will be half the driver he once was. Don't get me wrong, I'd love for him to come back and be blisteringly quick, I really rated him before his accident. Just not really sure he will ever be the same. I could have s...

Re: Mercedes

The key to their speed in China was finding the right setup to work the tyres. In the first two races they were nowhere as a result of missing that setup window, implying it might be quite small. If that's the case they're likely to miss it again. We also have no idea how Rosberg would react to his...

Many, many, threads you could have put this on. You're one of those guys huh? To be fair sandman this must be about the 10th thread today about Bahrain and most of the others have been locked. Re: Marko: "Rule Changes Made to Weaken Red Bull"

Jimbox posted an interesting piece of background on another thread about Marko’s early racing career and accident etc. and to be fair he probably deserves more respect than we perhaps give him on the forum (include myself in that).

In saying that I don’t think he does Red Bull any favours PR wise.

Much as I am pro-BBC Brundle will always edge it. DC has definitely stepped it up a gear though and is doing great. I agree with a previous comment in that Edwards talks too much, I didn't notice so much previously but today he was just constant, he seemed to be filling for the sake of it, often wit...

Not that I would ever pretend to know the inner workings but it seems that Ferrari need to get someone (a) quick enough to stay close to Alonso, (b) young enough to be content to support FA where necessary and learn for a coupe of years, (c) have the maturity and strength to play the longer game, (d...

Re: Brawn and Whiting relationship has to miff other teams

I've often heard that said (bolded part), that something is against the 'spirit' of the rule but not the letter of the rule. I’ve never been comfortable with this, as ‘spirit’ of the rule implies something subjective. I think most of us want to see engineers coming up with really inventive methods ...

Re: Brawn and Whiting relationship has to miff other teams

The double-deck diffuser and the double DRS fall into different areas of doubt. The way the regs are/were worded, the DDD broke the spirit of the rules but not the letter. DDD's were like the RB flexi-wing. A rule existed specifically to prevent both, but it wasn't written/tested in a way that mana...

Bernie’s stock answer of; ‘ F1 doesn’t involve itself in politics’ just does not wash any more (if it ever did), people will attach political significance either way whether the race goes ahead or not. Bernie needs to make a decision - hopefully based on what is best for the people and the country –...

I think you would be hard pushed to better Brundle and Coulthard last year, I thought they were superb – love their dry humour and always found them effortless and interesting to listen to. With respect to the current pairings, although they are good they just don’t have that same chemistry, so leav...

Nice guy and all that but when he was at Macca he didn’t appear to be a great no 2, not got the stats in front of me but I seem to remember he usually finished a good 5 places or more behind Lewis – why would Ferrari want that? Quite honestly and obviously they can do better.

For me it’s simple; regardless of who’s fault it was, if SV had the good grace to apologise for any insult then I’d think good on you. Good to show a human side as many have said. If he doesn’t feel the need to apologise then fair enough – just means some people will think slightly less of him. Up t...

Can’t see it happening anytime soon, FA’s next team-mate is likely to be very carefully chosen such as to compliment and support him, don't think any management would risk bring in someone that could potentially threaten him. Maybe in their declining years he might get a shot at FA but not while the...

I think Merc as a brand had massive kudos through their engine supply, but taking over Brawn was always a bit of a gamble from a corporate PR perspective if you ask me. It’s happened time and time again, as soon as a manufacturer puts their name above the door then they are on a hiding to nothing un...
