not this again, why do they bother bringing full wets? as soon as it goes past inters they stop the race/quali/bring out a safety car.
.... slow down, put the full wets on, drive to the conditions and get on with it.

The person that said let them use DRS whenever they want: aside from being unsafe that also defeats the point of having it altogether. It's supposed to counteract time lost from following another car because of the dirty air problem. As you can see at the beginnings of races, if everyone opens it a...

2 things I really dislike is the 'must use both tyres' rule and the DRS 'zones' .... let them use the tyres they want to use (or pirelli just bring one type) and let them use DSR wherever they like (say for a maximum of 60 seconds per race or something) that would take a lot of the artificiality out...

best car/fastest car not always the same thing. you said 'best' in the op and I'd agree to win the championship 99% of the time you need the best car... but it might not always be the fastest, you need reliability (no good having the fastest car if it keeps breaking down) a car that's good to the ty...

I thought it was brilliant, I couldn't have been happier for Vettel and everyone at Red Bull. It's amazing what they've done with that team. I enjoyed the race too... and the doughnuts.
Hoping McLaren will be challenging them next year though, Button could do with a few more wins and podiums.

Have a 3 meter wide strip of gravel around the outside of the track then behind it you will still have plenty of tarmac to break on. That way a driver will lose time by running wide but will stay in the race. gravel, grass, ice, water, dirt, mud, sawdust, slippery paint, broken glass, nails, sand ....

Can I weigh in with a completely non-expert opinion based only on intuition (the tyres' behaviour might be counter intuitive - or I might)? You say the tread depth is shallower towards the edge of the tyre. I would have thought this was a disaster waiting to happen when you lean it over into a bend...

Plenty of motorcycle tyres have this tread setup, I always assumed it is to give more even wear across the tread surface, since you spend (generally) more time riding on the centre of the tyre than the edges. right, whatever the reasons that is certainly a product of it and a positive for me, unles...

Assuming they are the same profile, say 300X10, and speed marking (from J to ZR) the more arched one will have a belt made from different material to the belt in the more rounded one.
