On your Stereo...

another thread to revive from the old forum - what's on your iPod/Generic MP3 player etc.

I can't get enough of School of Seven Bells, just ordered latest LP Ghoststory. Listened to it on Spotify and am loving it.

Re: New safety car rules.

I can see both sides of it, but ultimately I am with Brundle, I don't like it. Passing backmarkers is a skill the good drivers should have, and learning to be passed with minimum time-loss and disruption is an art back-of-the grid drivers should either have or be learning.

Re: Williams- Paying too heavy a price for being paid?

It's an interesting one. If your car is 1.5 secs off the pace, putting a top tier driver short of Alonso or maybe Vettel in it, isn't going to compensate for that. So if you know your car is average, the Williams approach is to make the driver selection effectively part of the car development progra...

The Movie Review Thread

Never Le Me Go http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1334260/ Bit disappointed by this actually. Thought it would be slightly darker. A bit dull. Once you understand the set up the plot doesn't have a great deal left to deliver. Left mrs Dolomite 'disturbed' for a night but left me totally indifferent. I want...

I watched Sky and was fairly impressed actually. Here's what I said on the Damon Hill thread: Yeah, nice bloke and all that but added very little and is not particularly fluent when the mic is in his hand. His written pieces are good, and his opinion is worth hearing but not great TV material. Very ...

Re: Massa- career almost done?

It's going to be a long season for Massa and Ferrari. I was half expecting him to be replaced this year to be honest. I understand that Ferrari don't want someone in the other season who might unsettle Alonso, but surely theres someone who could be close enough to bag the points whilst not quite th...

Re: Rosberg gets the new Trulli Train name sake....

It continued that Mercedes story of last year - in the mix for the first 2/3rds of the race, then just never seem to be at the sharp end when it counts. Obviously it's only one race, but they really need to start getting good results consistently. Enough 'promise' and 'potential' - time to deliver.

I have a feeling Alonso was having to drive the wheels of that Ferrari, but I'm going to say Button - the car was clearly great, but he drove the race beautifully and scored a major psychological point over Hamilton at the season start.

Re: Kobayashi deserves a chance at the front

Hmm, I'm not convinced. He's good but there's a tendancy for people to notice is good results, and gloss over some of his more mediocre ones. Sure he'd be getting better results in a better car, but then so would several other drivers. I'm reserving judgement till the end of the season - I've a feel...

Dutch GP of that year had 26 starters, 22 of who had either won, or would go on to win a race.

My point was that as times go by and he's off the radar I'm not so sure those offers will come.
