Re: 2017 Azerbaijan Grand Prix Race Thread
Oh dear, how sad is hamilton sky sports, already talking about how ferrari are going to rob kimi and get vettel ahead of him. The bias with this station borders on ridiculous.

Re: Ferrari/Mercedes has the faster car? (post barcelona &
Mercedes were 1.2s faster than ferrari last year at this track and 1.1s faster this year, so not much has changed on the PU front, mercedes still dominating by a good margin. Certainly makes of mockery of perez and the fai saying renault are pretty much there with mercedes.

Looking forward to seeing how Ferrari/Mercedes shape up here. My head says Mercedes will be the better car here and in Austria but I thought that about Russia too so who knows? I think it will be a Ferrari weekend. Hamilton struggled here last year and there are a lot of very tight corners which wi...

Gotta say i found the race last year rather dull but let's give it another chance and see what this year brings. The track will suit that monster mercedes PU big time but i'm really interested to see how ferrari go none the less.

Re: 90 days for Honda to show McLaren they can be competitiv
TJI is one of the things that has to be addressed in the new engine rules. The difficult part of it is doing it within the rules because they are so restrictive. If the number of injectors or spark plugs or valves or any one of a dozen other 'set' parameters could be changed, it would not be anywhe...

Yet another abysmal qualifying performance from stroll, somehow taking the 4th fastest car out there and making it seem a real battle to beat sauber. It's quite simple really, horner has stated this on many occasions, Ric and Ver are going nowhere while they contracted to RB.mds wrote:

Like I've just posted Kvyat brings money, with Kari no way do I see him jumping in front of Gasly. I've never heard that Kvyat brings much money, but it wouldn't matter if he did. Red Bull still calls the shots on Toro Rosso's drivers, and if they want Gasly in that seat he's getting it. He has his...

An interesting read: https://www.jamesallenonf1.com/2017/05/insight-key-indicators-that-show-whether-ferrari-favoured-vettel-in-monaco-f1-gp/ Kimi lost the race - instead of passing the back markers he came upon, he cried about the Blue Flagging - with that Ferrari pitted him so he wouldn't lose fu...

Re: The mind games have started - Lewis takes the first shot
I have only heard about Hamilton giving the place back on here. When I check the transcripts I can't see it. He definitely mentioned it; the context was that Lewis felt he was being held up by Bottas and wanted to be let past, if it turned out that Hamilton wasn't any quicker than Bottas he'd give ...

I think Ricciardo and Hamilton were dead even last year in the dry, Hamilton just didn't get a proper lap in with 1 disjointed run. I hope Red Bull can join the battle this weekend but they don't seem as strong or capable as last year. Make of it what you will, but Red Bull was actually closer to p...

Something has to be done in the next formula about the PU situation, it's just simply not possible for a non works team to win the championship anymore. Why would a team like RB want to stay when they know they are zero chance of ever winning if things stay the same? The PU's are so complicated now...
