Other: Kvyat - has shown he can be a solid midfield driver, while most people here seems to think he doesn't deserve a place in F1

Re: Silly Season 2019
I can't understand the logic of hiring Kvyat. They've already established that he's not good enough and the only reason for bringing him back again is that they've run out of young drivers to promote, incidentally much the same reason that Hartley is there. They'd be better off swallowing their pri...

One thing I don't understand is the votes for Serotkin. I bet it is just because he was on the screen for about 20 - 25% of the race. He may have been unlucky at the start, but there isn't really anything he did that was better than Stroll. That pit stop he had at first was a free one. and he could...

Well done Fernando! Although it was effectively a two-horse race he had to drive a big night stint to make up the deficit of a penalty and pulled it off. Gutted for Jenson though - very good drive himself but the car failed him and his team-mates. What did his team-mates do wrong? I think you need ...

Replacing Kvyat with Hartley seemed like a strange decision from the get-go and starting to look like a bad one more and more. Although Hartley isn't that far behind and he should get his chance until the end of the year at least.

Re: Pascal Wehrlein to replace Brendon Hartley??
Sainz out qualified Kvyat 8-4 at an average of 0.12s, that's not what I call Kvyat matching Sainz, but the Sainz being over rated bit might be true with him presently getting beat by the Hulk. Kvyat was 6-8 against Sainz last year at an average of .06, no significant difference. Did you google that...

Australia and Bahrain qualies were screwy because of the BS sliding knockout timer thing, or whatever you call it, that year which was really stupid and RB screwed Kvyats qualies because they couldn't adjust to it. He was doing as well as Ricciardo when he was axed. You've gone ahead and bought into the media hype as to why he was axed instead of realizing that the only reason he was "demoted" was because Verstappen was being wined and dined by others and Red bull reacted rather than risk losing their young g...

I wonder how an F1 car would do in 6 hour race? Would it make it to the checkered flag? Of course they are not built for that, but what do you think? I personally believe that a Mercedes F1 car (they seem to have the most reliable engine) turned down to run at just a few seconds faster than LMP1, w...

I think the problem with Max's move is that he completely shut the door on the left after opening it. That is what contrasts it with other similar moves we've seen before.

I've been following your posts on Kvyat/Sainz and I think your assessment is the most reasonable one of what I've seen here so I fully agree. Even in Monaco, his race pace looked pretty similar to Sainz, but he was took out by Perez. But again, he didn't do the job he needed to in qualifying which w...

Re: Kyvat out, Gasly in
Sad news. Most of what I read here about Kvyat is nonsense. He definitely has the speed. He matched Sainz on Saturdays. On Sundays Sainz clearly beat him but most of it was due to bad luck. Objectively I'd say Sainz has better race craft and maybe better tire management. I agree that Kvyat is having...

I think RedBull mismanaged Max badly. They should have promoted him at the end of 2016. He wouldn't have ditched them if they kept him at bay til the end of the season. Now they played to his ego and he's almost certain to leave at the end of his current contract. I think either Merc or Ferrari will...

I couldn't say Sainz was soundly beating Kvyat. (unless you meant the past mening last year) If you did then what I'm saying is irreverent. Although the points show he is beating Kvyat by a long way, that isn't really true. Sainz has made far more mistakes than Kvyat. It's looking like a Kvyat 2016...
