Lewis Hamilton is still very fast and doesn't crash when he starts at the front.

Re: Where would Alonso or Hamilton be in a Caterham?
Completely ignoring the fact that the 2009 season was one of the closest ever and the gap from first to last was usually around two seconds or less... In relative terms, the Caterham is much, much further off the pace than the 2009 Renault was. OP - If Kovalainen struggles to get within a second of...

Hard to say, but all we know is that over the course of a season Alonso would be 1 point behind Hamilton.

Re: A reminder as to how far Hamilton has come
I've always respected Hamilton. He he is a top driver for sure. He was maybe a little bit overhyped in 2007 and 2008 and people forget he was essentially a rookie. It went to his head and lead to erratic performances from him but he seems to have his head in the right place. I suspect that having Bu...

Re: Vettel. Will a new chassis be built?
There have always been 2 schools of thought about this. 1. The chassis was never problematic and Vettel was just getting beaten by Webber outright and 2. The chassis was problematic and RBR giving it to Mark signified that he was being restrained with inferior equipment. Take your pick. And yes, Vet...

Hamilton is the rain master currently.
Watch his Silverstone 2008 victory in the rain, that has to be one of the greatest drives of all time. Even in Malaysia he was lapping some 2 seconds faster than anyone else.

Re: Red Bull to discuss ignored team orders with Vettel
I think we all saw Vettels lack of domination coming. The problem that I forsee is the media have spent the last 12 months trashing Mark Webber as another Massa, yet all of a sudden he is outperforming Vettel. The quali score is 2-0 so far, and Webber didn't even have KERS for one of those, he also...

Re: Massa: The Test Driver for Ferrari
If this is true, I don't know where it puts Ferrari. Is it blatant violation of the testing limits or a clever way to improve the car? I'd say the former. I agree with his assessment of the race, but I think that, even under "testing" circumstances, Massa should've been faster, and should never hav...

Also was Webber not catching Vettel before the puncture? Webber was catching Vettel for a few laps, but then Vettel went faster. Perhaps the feed was out of kilter, but wasn't he told to stop, then continue then later to stop? I know they are delayed but I'm sure that was the order I heard... This actually shows that Webber was significantly faster than Vettel throughout the race. Bit of a shame for Red Bull that things didn't go quite right for either car. You also have to remember Sebastian Vettel never dominated the supporting classes like say Lewis Hamilton did. A 2nd in Formula 3 was his best result. The Blown Diffuser was just another 'driver aid' that makes the cars more tame I think. Sounded like quite a clever idea but not for racing cars. Re: Massa- career almost done?
Ferrari need a competitive second driver right now, they are actually following that win in a position to take third in the constructors if they have two solid drivers scoring consistent points. That gives them a big lead over teams like Mercedes who have scored 1 point. Alonso can't do it alone tho...

My favorite part of the coverage was after turn 1 beatie going "Now Vettel leads Webber" when you can clearly see Mark's helmet in the leading Red Bull. It took him 10 seconds to work out what was going on.
Id rather have no commentary personally.

I cannot wait to see Vettel completely melt down this year. He is no doubt running back to base demanding several things including preferential treatment, despite looking inferior to the #2 car this year so far.
A few more bad races and he will truely lose the plot.

On the plus side there wasn't many commercials.
On the downside we had no race start again, but on the plus side we didn't have to listen to them for very long.
Good coverage as a whole, would watch again.

Good performance by Mark today, should give him a nice mental lead over Vettel. Webbers been faster in Quali and now leads him in the points.
Mark lost out waiting in traffic for 5 seconds in the pits, but apart from that had the pace for a podium. Only a matter of time until he delivers.

Either Seb is in very bad form or Webber is in very good form. Mark looks to have the slight edge this year. Which is strange because people kept saying Webber was past his prime last year, yet he's out qualifying his double world champion team mate and leading him in the points.

Once again Hamilton had the edge over Button in qualy, however, judging by his lockups in the last turn, was this at the expense of taking more from the tyres, which is fine to produce the faster qualy lap but is not sustainable for every lap of the race.
