Re: Lewis Hamilton - a PR dream?

I disagree. I find Hamilton very likeable and modest. Atleast he doesn't go calling other drivers idiots and cucumbers. I'm finding Button a bit on the nose lately. His bitterness over 2nd in China was unimpressive, come on Jenson if Lewis didn't have that penalty he would have wiped the floor with ...

Re: The Future of Mark Webber

If there's any major driver movement at the top for next year, if anything I expect Alonso to exercise a non-performance clause in his contract and leave, to McLaren. Hamilton changes into a red suit, to partner with Perez. This is completely unlikely in every sense of the word. Alonso burnt his br...

Re: The Future of Mark Webber

Two issues. Webber's future with RBR and Webber's future afterwards. His RBR future is decided. Marko clearly doesn't like him, did not tolerate his refusal to play second fiddle and has been broadcasting the "end of Webber" for yonks. If he underperfoms Vettel this year the explanation w...

Quali on left, Race on right Webber v Vettel (3-0) (2-1) = (5-1) Button v Hamilton (1-2) (2-1) = (3-3) Rosberg v Schumacher (1-2) (3-0) = (4-2) Perez v Kobayashi (1-2) (1-2) = (2-4) Button and Hamilton would appear to be the closest. Re: The Official Mark Webber Thread

I think McLaren are a smidgen faster than Red Bull at the moment. Only around a couple of tenths a lap, enough that combined with the Renault' slow top speed Mark didn't really have a chance against Hamilton unless their tyres were at vastly different stages of degredation. I think RBR are faster i...

Bruno Senna is impressing me so far.

I can't say I rated him that highly before this season, but this year he has put in some really good performances and it shows by the points table. He's currently 9th, ahead of Koby and just behind Kimi. Now I wouldn't go as far as saying the Williams is on the same level as the Lotus or the Sauber ...

Re: Shouldn't Webber get the preference on car development?

You keep dodging the question: If you mean the question about last year when Webber didn't finish second in the Championship, I don't think it's relevant to this year. so you feel if Massa (slightly) outperforms Alonso over the next races, partially due to (basically) a DNF, Ferrari should shift fo...

Yeah, and that is to fix the rear downforce issue, which theoretically helps BOTH drivers, disregarding last years evidence to the contrary... Why aim at too much understeer or oversteer (whatever it is that Mark prefers) instead of neither, which is what is really required. A well balance car shou...

Re: Shouldn't Webber get the preference on car development?

If he chooses his own strategy, why do they pay people to look at a computer screen to work these things out during the race? So his engineer made the bad call. So what, he got off the line abysmally again (and has a habit of that, unfortunately), then either used his tires up quick or had bad stra...

Re: Shouldn't Webber get the preference on car development?

The question is, will they retain Webber for 2013. I bet they expected him to yield to Seb again this year and he would retire after that but looks like it's anything but that. I do have to wonder if they expected Mark to catch up to Seb.... Was there any interviews on the topic and his overtake? I...

Re: The Official Mark Webber Thread

Thought Mark drove a great race, despite his start. Both he and Vettel had poor starts today, which makes me think it is a system problem rather than a driver problem. Red Bull need to sort that out if they are to challenge McLaren. It was a real shame that Kimi's tyres fell off the 'cliff' when it...

Webber certainly looks quicker in FP3. And since they say Seb is worth half a second over Webber that would mean Sebastians car is SIGNIFICANTLY slower. I don't think Seb is necessarily that much faster. He has just entered the sport in a time when the tyres and downforce levels suit him better. Webber has shown so far this season that with a slightly different car setup he can be faster. But in typical Webber fashion, he throws it away at the start...

The Brawn at the start of 09 was fairly dominant as was the Red Bull in 2011.
