Re: Is Hamilton ruining Max’s legacy?
No. I'm saying that Mercedes have tried to do things that will suit Hamilton. Yes and failed. Sure and also not relevant. It's relevant to how Red Bull can give Verstappen the car he wants unlike Mercedes with Hamilton. Or, Hamilton doesnt know what he wants in the first place and just relies on te...

Re: Is Hamilton ruining Max’s legacy?
There is almost no similarities between the 2019 Red Bull and 2023 Red Bull, these are two totally different cars build under different regulations, with very different strengths and weaknesses. The only similarity is that Verstappen was the best driver in both seasons. But yes, the whole “comfort ...

Re: Is Hamilton ruining Max’s legacy?
Everyone who wants Max to “test” himself will get it soon enough, as the rumours are that he is joining Mercedes. I do wonder what the excuses will be when he inevitably turns Russell into another Albon. For starters the Mercedes won't handle like a Red Bull plus Newey won't be around, those advant...

Re: F1 Gossip/Rumour/Inside news Thread
Gossip and rumour thread. I heard Newey was the other person at the centre of the whole Horner scandal story and he has now been forced to leave the team. No the woman was also Newey's PA, so he was probably close to what might have been going on and maybe not to impressed with Horner's behaviour. ...

Re: Female Racing Drivers
Day 2 of the FRECA test at Hockenheim saw Doriane Pin (1m36.415, 28th), Marta Garcia (1m36.805, 30th) and Lena Buhler (1m37.488, 32nd). The time gap was just 1s from 3rd fastest Roman Bilinski to 28th Pin, the first two were so much quicker I'd suspect a timing issue. By chance were the 2 fastest d...

Re: New points system
I think points for all finishers, don't really understand why not it makes it incredibly hard to accurately score the lower midfield - ust going by their best finish when there's not any points is stupid- you can have the worst team absolutely fluke a few points due to DNFs or some stupid situation...

Re: Is Hamilton ruining Max’s legacy?
No amount of gaslighting from Verstappen detractors will convince anyone with a bit of intellectual honesty that a guy who matched Nico Hulkenberg over 3 years is a bad/slow driver and noticeably worse than Bottas. At Mercedes Bottas never had a car that he struggled to drive. And how do you know t...

Re: Is Hamilton ruining Max’s legacy?
Haven't Mercedes literally moved the cockpit position to suit Hamilton? I really don't think Red Bull are the only team that caters to their lead driver. You think that the car suits Hamilton with all his experiments, I would say that Verstappen will find a different world away from Red Bull. No. I...

Re: Silly Season 2025
As I said earlier today if they can get Verstappen then everything Wolff has said prior can probably be disregarded. I don't see why it has to be Russell. We don't know how good Antonelli is yet. Re: Is Hamilton ruining Max’s legacy?
Our debate is not if Bottas is better than Max, but him being better than Perez, and Perez paints Max good with his inability. Long story short: 2021 was Bottas' worst against Lewis, he was unmotivated and sacked, obvious why you picked it for comparison. Dont know how Max beat Bottas in 2020, when...

Obviously not ideal for either driver but nobody can complain if they're let go for an upgrade. Re: The big 6 then the rest?
In my opinion Verstappen is currently obviously the best driver. I have little doubt. Fair enough if you disagree though. It's always impossible to know 100%. If one looks at the two burdens of proof from the US legal system -- preponderance of evidence (civil cases) and beyond a reasonable doubt (...

Re: Is Hamilton ruining Max’s legacy?
Is there a driver in F1 history that we never found out completely. I can not think of one. You just have to be patient enough and it all works out. There was a time when Kimi was the fastest man in F1 and Schumachers replacement. That ended when he switched teams. There was a time when Vettel was ...

Re: Silly Season 2025
That's pretty pejorative language. Mercedes wouldn't be treating either of their drivers unfairly by signing someone better. So I wouldn't describe it as that. They both are supposed to be the future of Mercedes, it's not really a good look for Russell. Obviously not ideal for either driver but nob...

Re: Silly Season 2025
That would be a good move for Ocon and hopefull leave room at Alpine for Martins if he picks his form up off the floor. I think Doohan is first in line. As of now definitely. I believe Martins to be more talented though so would rather they skipped over Doohan for him provided he can get his F2 sea...

Got to be ruthless. F1 isn't a charity. So like I said about being thrown under the bus. That's pretty pejorative lan...
