I really miss to see drivers drove their cars with full-throttle in pit-lane. Guess for safety concern, it will never return to F1 (ever).
Also, I miss F1 GP at Adelaide, guess it will never return there.

people, why does this year's Malaysian F1 GP start at 15:00 local time? I thought the race should start at 16:00.
apologize for my short memory, but the race did start at 16:00 last year, didn't it?

Re: 2016 Singapore Free Practice & Qualifying Thread
To anyone in Singapore, what's the weather like today? Any chance for rain during FP3 or Qualifying?
I just saw weather report on TV and it says that it's gonna be thunderstorm in Singapore on Saturday (I mean, seriously?)

Why would he miss the race? He can just ask his wife not to come to Singapore and watch the race at home. As for himself, he can simply put anti mosquito lotion all over his body throughout the weekend. :) He has something to fight for……. championship! Believe me, even if Singapore is invaded by gia...

Re: Does the grid penalties system work?
Just an extreme thinking: Each driver still receives 5 engines per season. When a driver runs out of his 5 allocated engines before the end of the season, thus must have the sixth one, then he will receive 10-grid penalties in ALL remaining races, so not just 1 time penalty. In-case a driver must ha...

People, a question: do preseason games effect the championship standing? :?: No is the short answer. However it does matter in regards to players getting injured but also coaches getting answers on their players, new and old and that can have an impact on the regular season. But as for points no. Why not just let those boys fight and 'kill' each other on track themselves? For any incident that happens, let the stewards investigate it after the race, whoever found guilty will receive penalty on the following race (if it happens in the final race of the season, then just cut the championship p...

is there a regulation on lap-time for all circuits in F1?
I've enjoyed F1 since 1988, and I've seen many circuits leave and/or replace with new ones. Somehow, if my memory serves me right, I have never seen any circuit that: 1. Lap time is under 60 seconds, or 2. Lap time is over 120 seconds (2 minutes) So the question is: is there actually a regulation by...

Re: 2016 Belgium Grand Prix Race Thread
I don't support Hamilton, but somehow I feel pity for him to start from the back the grid because of engine regulation, so yeah I think I would rather see how he makes progress this afternoon than watching his teammate fights Red Bulls or Ferraris. Just a wild guess, before lap 20, Hamilton will be ...

Re: 10 Circuits. You're the boss. What do you choose?
I miss the the 80s - 90s style of F1 Calendar, which the season opener was Brazil with final race in Australia. My favorite version of F1 calendar should have 'classic circuits' as well as the modern ones, with less street circuit, so it would be: 1. Brazilian Grand Prix 2. United States Grand Prix ...

Great news, I have never enjoy watching those F1 cars parading behind safety car on wet start (in-fact I would rather see FIA postpones the race for a while). If it keeps like this, Ferrari cars might be overlapped on Sunday's race. As a tifosi, this is worrying me...

Since I started to enjoy F1 back in late 1980s, Monaco GP is the only GP that I have always (intentionally) avoid to watch the full race. Why? Because Monaco GP is nothing but car-parade instead of real F1 race. For me, the real race on Monaco is the qualifying session on Saturday. Mostly during Sun...

Re: 4 Races In - Who's Going to Win The Championship?
Most likely it would be Rosberg, but it is still too early to predict, there are still 17 GPs to go, still long way to go. Remember the GP500 season back in 1992? Michael Doohan won the first 4 GPs of the season, somehow he failed to claim the title that season. Same situation may happen again with ...

I don't quite understand this new tyres allocation. Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't all the 3 compounds be used by each driver during Sunday's race? So let's say, Hamilton destroys his Medium tyres during any of Free Practice sessions in Bahrain, while he only has 1 set of Medium tyres, doesn...
