Looks like Mick Schumacher will be required to go to a backup chassis after hitting the wall after the checkered flag in FP1 at Suzuka.
Evidently one of the tires swung back upon impact and cracked the upper section of the chassis.

Re: Indycars
Is all over but the wailing and gnashing of teeth. Alex Palou spanked the field at Laguna Seca by more than 20 seconds at the end. Newgarden came second but that was not nearly enough to make up a 20+ point gap to Will Power. Some very good racing this year in Indycar and there was some decent racin...

It has just been announced that Nicholas Latifi will undergo an appendectomy (whether he needs one or not) on October 2 DURING the Singapore Grand Prix. Team Williams regrets that it will once again have to resort to using Nyck De Vries as a substitute for a hospitalized driver.

I'm unsure what Russell did that was better than Hamilton this weekend other than not have an engine penalty. I could get it if Russell had beat him in qualifying but he finished behind him even with the tow and then drive around in no man's land in third place for the entire race. I actually went ...

I would be laughing my guts out when or if Piastri enters F1 next year and then ends up being totally useless and no good!..... Personally I would not like to be in his shoes as the stakes are really high at the moment. If it was me, would rather enter the sport very low profile. It does take quite...

Just small details stopping Lewis from a race win so far this year. If the first start stood in Silverstone, he might have won. If his DRS didn’t fail in qualifying in Hungary, he probably would have won. 9 more races and Mercedes looking stronger and stronger, I think he will steal a win in this l...

I voted for Charles and Ferrari. It's a shame if the title is decided before Abu Dhabi. DNF in Spain where he was cruising, DNF in Baku and he had track position at worst he would end P2 behind Max. Some how Ferrari made him loose in Monaco and Silverstone. Stupid crash in France at worst P2 and he...

Is Charles struggling that much or has Carlos managed to better his performance and Charles is looking more troubled by comparison???
Charles, Carlos and the whole Ferrari team have all had their own individual problems this year. Still, Carlos is looking stronger over the last handful of races.

I knew that Valtteri has had some abysmal starts this year. Same with Checo. I didn't realize that Gasly and Norris had that much of a problem on the starts.
