Re: Engine Sounds
Going to an F1 race was all about the theatre of the event, if you take any element of the theatre away it loses something. F1 should remember that there are other forms of racing around that may fill the void.

I hope this isn't what the rest of the season is going to be, just watching Merc go off into the sunset and listening to the ontrack announcers at the venue over the 'playstation' sound effects............ - how many seconds in front of the rest of field????? yawn

Painful to listen to.......and I don't mean loud painful - supposed to be the pinnacle of motor sport and they sound like a fart, if you can hear the crowd and tyre noise that shows how quiet they are. When you used to go to an F1 race one thing that added to the experience was THE noise, now they a...

Yes it was worth it........but not with Mercedes - they were a waste of time with a car that's amongst other things has eaten it's tyres for 3 years and this season want's to spend a lot of it's time with DNF by it's name. The team is a joke.

Re: The Official Michael Schumacher thread
:( it had to come sometime, i just wish that he hadn't wasted the last 3 years at a team that couldn't produce a consistant top level car, and to be honest i think Mercedes got the best end of the deal (PR wise) without Schumacher and a lackluster car season after season Mercedes would be firmly in ...

This is not how statistics/probability works. If it was then you would have a 50/50 chance of winning the top prize on the lottery. You either win it or you don't, so it's 50/50. If you make a statement saying that you will win the next lottery draw then you have a 50/50 chance of that statement be...

I'll start by saying I am not a Schumi fan and never have been but I'm disgusted by the treatment shown by Brawn towards his old friend I know there is no place for sentiment in sport/business but if his dithering on whether to continue contributed to the signing of Hamilton they should still have ...

This is racing and if you're not fast enough then you get left behind, schumi has been nothing more than mediocre since his return and its time for him to make way for new talent. ...........correction - MSC's Merc has been mediocre in it's realiabilty this season (which Merc admit), when it worked...

Coming back was a good idea............just not with Merc - it has been a car for realistically finishing 6th 7th or 8th and every new season was just hopes and dreams. Lewis will need a lot of luck (& new engine regs).

I don't think it has anything to do with the drivers - if anything, I think they are usually punching above the cars weight. They really need to hire better tech personnel, that's all - before last years' tech director signing spree, most of the guys in Brackley have proven to be terrible with in-s...

BBC now showing Sky how to do a post race show, excellent. Lazenby to be replaced by Steve Ryder? why not? Absolutely. There's not a great deal of chemistry and fluidity in Sky's coverage. This is why I've always said EJ is great; he says things others might not say, also creates great conflict and...
