Re: Hamilton/Verstappen Brazil 22
Roles reversed for Verstappen at same corner: https://youtu.be/6LSAaVq4Dsw I don't think these are comparable honestly, the collision here happens once Ocon has clearly shown to be able to make the corner with a realistic speed. Max runs into Lewis at the entry of the corner and it's pretty clear t...

Re: Hamilton/Verstappen Brazil 22
I thought it was obvious in the live action that this was more on Verstappen and was surprised to see the initial reaction on this board that Hamilton was predominantly to blame. I agree with the stewarding decision to mete out the minor penalty to VER.

Re: 2022 Brazilian Grand Prix Race Thread
I think Lewis would of won if things had gone gun hoe. I think Lewis give the race to George. I don't think Lewis was pushing 100% and I think he kept position and keep the gap after the last safety car. George deserved the win and it was thoroughly deserved. And I think Lewis recognised that. Sure...

Re: 2022 Brazilian Grand Prix Race Thread
If you need any proof verstappen is a totally selfish sod, that radio message was it. Which one? Near the end, the last lap I believe, the team repeatedly told Max to give the place back and Max was silent for a while. He then told them that they should never ask him to do that again as he had expl...

Re: 2022 Brazilian Grand Prix Race Thread
George is absolutely clutch, when this dude has a sniff of a win he is there... When he led in Spain he fought extremely hard, same for Hungary. He's very good. I like where we're headed. Hamilton being a class act again, must be killing him that George got their win of the season and probably that...

Re: Do red bull have a max verstappen problem.
They have a Max Verstappen gift. It is bounteous but unwieldy.
Ultimately, it appears that Maximus sees himself as bigger than the team. Red Bull certainly didn't need Max to win the WDC this season, though.

Re: 2022 Brazilian Grand Prix Race Thread
Max shouldn't had been allowed to pass Checo in the first place. Other than that, I don't like team orders where a car in front drops back to let the car behind through. Plus Checo was so far behind it would've made it look even worse. Charles grovling for points was about as pathetic as it gets. T...

Verstappen you utter tool. Why alienate someone who can be so useful to you over 6th bloody place. Yep bang on. Honestly, whats Perez going to do? Jeoperdise his drive with RB, & with it a chance for the odd win/ podium here & there by refusing to be the lap dog anymore ? There's plenty of drivers ...

Re: 2022 Brazilian Grand Prix Race Thread
Hopefully the first of a fine bag of wins for George. And things are looking up in a big way for the overall Mercedes package. Already very optimistic for 2023 for a more competitive title fight rather than just one team and driver running away with things. Mercedes are back on track. Ferrari can't ...

It similar to Monza, Max is never going to have anything but an accident there, but Lewis also did not leave enough a r  oom. If Lewis leaves a car width, it’s still an accident I agree. Re: Hamilton vs Verstappen
In terms of raw driving ability, Leclerc was in Verstappen's bracket for about half a season (tricky to judge Hamilton in 2022 but he's up there). I put more blame at the door of Ferrari operations than Leclerc for how this season has unfolded, but the question mark was always about if Leclerc could...

Max is slightly better at this point but it's also hard to compare them. They've been close now for 3 seasons running, with Max overtaking Lewis in 2021 by my reckoning (and not 2020 or 2019 -- too close to equal if not slightly behind, in the middle of rounding fully into his peak/prime, which he i...

Honestly, I feel sick after today. The TSU retirement was suspicious as any incident I've seen since Crashgate. Didn't cause a SC on attempt #1, send him back out for another go. He must be a gentleman.TheGiantHogweed wrote: ↑Sun Sep 04, 2022 2:18 pmverstappen must not lose his head here. He does not NEED to pass them. He is comfortable in the standings. Perez doing his only job again, costing Max's rivals time. Perez is getting absolutely smashed by Max at this point, no doubt. Max started the season solidly, and he was quick though not blazing. But now, deep into the season, he's at one with his car and Perez can't live with it. From the top three teams, Perez is probably either the 5th or 6th best driver.
