Those numbers look interesting. Now all we need is a clean weekend for Grosjean and Haas might be able to show some of the promise from week 1.

It was ridiculous how early, and how hard, he was able to get on the throttle out of every corner. The speed he was carrying through some of the corners was nuts. About 100 kph/60 mph through the carousel without being able to use the banked part.

Re: Hamilton re-signs?

I’m not a big fan of Alonso but I have to say we’ve got enough data on him to say he’s well rounded. However, as far as I know we’ve not seen Hamilton in anything other than carts or the cars that flow up the ladder to F1 so in my mind the same can’t be said for him at this point. While Indy is stil...

Re: Silly Season 2019

Grosjean is perfectly happy at Haas and they seem to still be okay with him. It would take some one Kimi level to want to go there and them feeling that they are ready to push to the front of the field for them to want to push Romain out.

Re: Silly Season 2019

While Haas is a better bet for having a car to compete regularly in the midfield right now they’re not looking for a driver who’s only there for a year or two being groomed for Ferrari. They want to hire their own driver that they can keep. There’s also the point that next year Sauber could be close...

Re: PF1 Forum teammate wars vote: France

I found Ferrari, FI, and Williams hard to choose this time around. Kimi had a horrible qualifying but showed well in the race. Vettel did okay in qualifying and had a great recovery drive, but the need for a recovery drive falls largely on him. In the end I gave it to Kimi. Both Williams drivers wer...

At this point I would say max. Max isn’t having the best of seasons so far but you know what your getting with him. Leclerc is still unproven talent. Yes Leclerc has had some notable races but they have also come at the expense of other drivers retiring allowing Leclerc to finish in positions he ha...

I don't really see how all this is relevant? He was told to maintain position and he ignored that order. Just like Vettel did in Malaysia just 18 months later. Kimi lost out a bit at the start avoiding the mayhem but recovered to the podium. KMag solid job again but I also thought about Hulk for recovering well from a poor qualy. Leclerc again showing he belongs and putting his team mate deep into the shade.

I’m afraid that it could turn into simply a halo car class and not a true prototype class. Don’t get me wrong. I think the idea of manufacturers racing their top of the line cars only modified for safety (roll cages/harnesses etc.) would be fun, but that’s not what I feel to be the top class of spor...

It won’t be until at least this time next season before you could really say with any confidence since the sample size is still so small with Leclerc. That’s just talking about skill though. My thoughts on the ones being put forward so far in this thread. Perez isn’t an option, at any top team, because of his habit of racing his team mates harder than he does the opposition. Hulk would be a choice long term as a Kimi like, but possibly more consistent, number 2 driver. But it’d be caree...
