Re: New Renault livery

This was a golden Jewel to watch on TV his weekend. Some of you nitpicked it when it was unveiled and complained about how overtly plain it was and how the design it self was lackluster but every time it flashed on the screen it was gorgeous and my TV and my eyes were pleasantly content. The color ...

Re: Best driver on the grid besides Alo/Vet/Ham or any WDCs

Right now, Daniel Ricciardo. In a year or two, Max Verstappen. If he follows a linear development curve, sure. But what if he peaks early? Everyone thought Hamilton was going to dominate F1 after 2007 (yes, I do appreciate the full irony of making that statement in 2016), but it turned out he was a...

Grosjean and only Grosjean. Nobody else stood out nearly as much as he did. Shame we didn't have a race-long comparison with Gutierrez in the other car, but Romain seemed to have him well in hand regardless.

Runners up would probably be Palmer (didn't expect much - favorably impressed) and Ricciardo.

Red Bull looked faster and with better tyre maintenance. Might be a venue specific thing, but uncertain. Agreed; Ricciardo was able to fairly easily pull a gap on Verstappen when they were running together. Toro Rosso is probably at the head of the midfield and might be able to trouble Williams in ...

I like Hobbs - in fact I like the whole lineup. They're quirky and fun, and if they don't possess the same depth of knowledge that someone like Brundle does, at least they don't possess the depth of idiocy that can be attained by either Crofty of Lazenby. Todt gave Bernie that magical 'mandate'; the teams voted on the proposals brought to the strategy group. Lauda said Bernie told them it was going to be reverse top 10, Whiting offered this as an alternative. Voting to remain the same was never on the agenda. I've seen plenty of people question whet...

In a sport like F1 stats are never misleading! It shows what each individual and his team achieved. Fangio didnt win in a dud car neither did Schumi or Senna. Vettel. Being the best means achieving the most. No, it doesn't. It's never meant that. Prost's famous trick was to conserve his tyres until the time he needed their performance. The only thing he might have needed other than the gap to the car in front, was the gap to Senna.
