Re: Monster F1
Oh I think that would make the sport look even sillier. It'd just look like an energy drink company series. Which is all well and good until this company decides it wants to give it a go.. http://www.bcenergy.co.nz/images/bca4a.jpg Well they'd go well with this company taking part as well..... http...

Re: Monster F1
Not particularly. Monster don't have a vested interest in Motorsport like Red Bull do, they are purely there for sponsorship only. I'd imagine they are quite happy to continue sponsoring the WCCs, if the price doesn't get too high of course.

Re: Honda McLaren Times compared to last year?
So in all likelihood the new Honda engine is rubbish and the new McLaren chassis is rubbish. Oh dear... Pretty much yep. Doesn't give them a great base to go into 2016 with really and it makes it three years in a row that McLaren have built a dud chassis. I don't see them suddenly getting it right ...

This came up in the Lewis thread. Seems to me that Lewis is saying he doesn't trust his team to be able to make the proper calculations, which is a little odd. They have all the data and access to info he doesn't. After all, he realised later on that they were absolutely right, so proclaiming he do...

Re: Ricciardo not ready to commit to new RB deal
He should get on the blower to Ferrari and remind them who beat Vettel rather handsomely last year... ..obviously that may be a long shot given I doubt Vettel would want Ricciardo as a team-mate again that soon and I don't think Ferrari would risk the harmony they seem to have built up over the last...

Red Bull are contractually obliged to remain in the sport until 2020. The only way they could get out of that is if someone bought that contract off of them, however given that Red Bull are basically saying their reason for quitting is because it's impossible for them to be competitive that pretty ...

MDS, it sounds like you are awfully close to conspiracy territory. I'd be careful.
Audi, according to Morotsport.com, have said F1 now may be an option. Seems they are just as indesicive as Red Bull. Could be a match made in heaven after all!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/32688667 Red Bull have claimed they will quit F1 should they fails to get a competitive engine or Audi continue to refuse to enter. I'm not so sure a top 10 was possible for Alonso today. The McLaren was woeful on the harder tyre and Alonso had only been on them for four laps when his brakes failed. I think he'd have come around 12th, close but still not close enough.

The driver I'd vote for isn't even on the list. Why just have the top 10? Once again the DOTD poll is flawed. Alonso? Maldonado? Maldonado for me. Hamilton very poor so far for his standards! You'd think he'd manage to despatch Vettel rather easy given the advantage Merc had yesterday, clearly he's having balance issues and possibly tyre wear will get bad in the dirty air.

2. The 2015 McLaren livery will never be iconic. It's clearly something to keep them ticking over until Ron deflates his ego a bit and they get a title sponsor. This livery (just like the old one) makes the Mclaren look like a car produced by a team at a very low point. Much like the Manor car. Question for anyone: do the teams have to use the engines sequentially?
