The livery is growing on me. Whilst not good for the team, the fact it's missing so much sponsorship makes it look nices than those that may have nice base colours but these are broken up badly with all the stickers on top.
I tend to find they look better on track than in studio/launch pictures.

Re: Williams FW43B revealed!
Agree with those who says it looks like a Codemasters game custom livery but I quite like it. I want to see all the cars on track, but after that I might do a ranking thread on what we think the nicest liveries are. Message me when Ferrari unveil their livery and I can set up an ranking poll for it...

Re: Williams FW43B revealed!
Kind of like it, but it does seem to abruptly change from the white front to the blue rear. Doesn't flow from one to the other, very well. As I've seen with the Aston which looks far better on track than under studio lights, I'm thinking this one will too.

Re: Porsche / Volkswagen making noises about entering F1.
Electric is monopolised by Formula E for another decade or so, but I'm sure F1 is lining itself up for a merger, especially with Liberty owning both (through different arms I believe, but still). I actually want to see F1 go the hydrogen route, it would allow for manufacturers to explore both in mo...

Re: Porsche / Volkswagen making noises about entering F1.
I know Porsche has been investing massively in biofuels so I wonder if there's any link to this. I can imagine that nobody running F1 wants to become 100% electric, so if there's a chance that F1 becomes hybrid with electric and biofuel, that could suit Porsche and their marketing, very well.

I don't think I've ever been so disappointed with a livery. There have been far uglier paint jobs in the past, but ugly is at least interesting. This is just so dull. Plus the Russian flag all over it is hardly subtle... I was really warming to HAAS as the way they seemed to go about the sport remin...

Porsche / Volkswagen making noises about entering F1.
Early days of course, but apparently a Porsche executive has been talking about the fact that the VW group is looking into the viability of joining F1.
Andrew Benson is mentioning it on Twitter.

Well, it looks great, but it isn't the green I was expecting. Nut sure what it is, but in these pictures, it just looks a little pale and rather too metallic. I guess I'm just too old-school.

To be honest, I think the best the best thing they could do to improve it without the need for silly passing aids, is to make the cars smaller and reduce the braking abilities. If braking distances were even 25% longer and the cars were smaller, the changes of attacking under braking would be hugely...

I like the colours, especially the flag colours being used at the back. For me, it's a shame there's so much red where it says MAPFRE behind the front wheels. It kind of spoils it but I guess the sponsor wants to be seen!

To be honest, it's better than DRS because I assume the driver in front can use the same button to defend if they wish. He would only know if the button was activated if he had TV coverage in his car though! :uhoh: Ah, but if they thought the car behind was closing faster than normal, they would ha...

So, within 24 hours of Ferrari announcing this, they don't have the budget to do this and F1, they are doing it to pressure the FIA for F1 advantages and they've always cared more about F1 than sportscar racing. Isn't the point though that bio fuel has to power the public's cars to make the relevant to the rest of the car buying public? T...

I'm guessing that if we look at last year Ferrari would have been allowed a leg up whereas the likes of Honda...

Those that know me well on here will know I'm not a fan of the safety car and generally put my broken record on and call for Slow Zones.
Therefore talking about safety cars instead of the yellow flags at Silverstone 2003, is not relevant to any discussion with me.
