Re: The Official Hungarian GP practice thread
Red Bull situation is interesting. If what we read is true that the engine mapping they had allowed for a better exit from slow corners then Hungary would be a particular circuit where this would be a fairly big advantage that they have now lost.

SOOOOO excited about tonight and even more excited about being on Box Hill tomorrow for the cycling. BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!!! Anyone else going to Box Hill? Jammy devil! Hopefully we'll be on the Box Hill loop, but it's not a ticketed area and I'm concerned we won't get there early enough. Leaders are...

Re: The Official Hungarian GP practice thread
Cheers amirb, it almost improved the nose! And as I say that Massa goes quickest. The Ferrari is no longer a bad car, it's probably one of the best, if not the best car out their. In dry conditions the Ferrari was not the quickest in Germany. FA was fighting understeer pretty much the whole race. T...

The one thing about this whole situation that concerns me is the human rightts court, i have no problem with gays couples getting married, i have no problem with religous organisations saying they will not marry gay couples, every one has rights and no doubt certain churchs/sects will be fine with ...

I do and I think and hope so. Hopefully it will come down to little deeds like helping old ladies with the shopping bags up stairs, stopping in the metro system when one man looked like he had a heart attack and most walked by, helping people push broke down cars and starting them and lately fighti...

Re: Hungary a boring track?
I really like Hockenheim. I know it's not what it was but it still has one of the best places for passing all season and the 3-4 corners after the hairpin also also great for action. Hungary is a shame, yes the regs do not help but even GP2 races tend to be a bit dull around that circuit compared to...

Fair play. Re: Water-Measuring Device
One of my boats has a depth gauge which claims to be very very accurate. I am sure the technology exists to make it accurate enough but I just don't think it would be reactive enough for a sport like F1. Regardless of water depth, the surfaces of circuits varies dramatically on how the water clears ...

Best thing to do is hit the hills. The riders are normally spread out giving you lots of time to see them come past. It strikes me that......... this is about people getting their knickers in a twist over a bit of racing. Perhaps they need to introduce a new flag, perhaps a pink one would be nice!
This would warn leading cars that someone is trying to unlap themselves and are in a faster car.

Yep, tiny adjustments to all manner of components will have a tiny effect over a lap but all add up to a problem over a race distance.
Also slightly short fuelling a car will mean they have to run the later part of the race in economy mode.
