Here is a metric that makes the most sense to me. Winning Percentage. Number of races entered/Wins. 1. Juan Manual Fangio - 52 Entries - 24 Wins - WP 46.15% 2. Alberto Ascari - 33 Entries - 13 Wins - WP 39.39% 3. Jim Clark - 73 Entries - 25 Wins - WP 34.25% 4. Lewis Hamilton - 223 Entries - 69 Wins...

Hamilton, Ricciardo, & Grosjean
Hamilton and Ricciardo for the same reasons as everyone else.
Grosjean for the way he has turned a dreadful first half of the season around.

Re: Will Vettel finish ahead of Raikkonen in Japan?
My question is what happens if and when Sebastian gets within striking distance of Max. That particular Red Bull has been known to do crazy things when it sees a red car. Ferrari should probably start planning pit strategy to get around Max without on track confrontations. Prophet! Thank You!! Than...

Re: Verstappen vs. Vettel Japan 2018
I don't agree with Vettel's hastiness at all in that moment. He has to go big or go home to turn the Championship around so it was understandable in one way but a pragmatic approach could have seen him follow Max closely, nail the chicane and nail him down the starting straight. Vettel says "it's a...

Re: Verstappen vs. Vettel Japan 2018
I'm no Max fan, but I'd put this one almost entirely onto Vettel. He came from so far behind and committed to a dive bomb on a driver who was never going to just back out and avoid him. Max left enough space for Vettel to get back out of the move, but not enough for him to overtake. :thum...

Re: Verstappen vs. Vettel Japan 2018
I think that Sebastian threw his result away in the cockup with Max. Had he been more patient, he would have had a better chance at passing Valtteri at the end than Max had. Could have easily been: 1. Lewis, 2. Sebastian, 3. Valtteri on the podium.

Re: Predict Hamilton's margin in the WDC at year's end
More interesting is what Vettel's margin to Bottas will be. He's 67 points behind today. By the end of Austin that is likely to be in the mid 50s assuming Hamilton ahead Merc 1-2s. Bottas led 1-2s for the remaining 3 circuits will take a minimum of 30 more points off of it, assuming Vettel is 3rd w...

Ferrari doesn't seem to think it's their power unit that is the problem. Arrivabene says they are just as fast as Mercedes on the straights. Arrivabene was clear, however, that Ferrari's recent drop in form has more to do with its performance in slow speed corners than on the straights. "It's nothin...

Well Bottas came back strong in Sochi, outperforming his team-mate over the weekend and showing he had enough performance to likely win the race. The Vettel error that lost him P2. He had a big lock up into turn 12, leaving a long black mark on the track and completely missing the apex and lost 0.5 allowing Hamilton to be very close through 13 and into the DRS zone. Of course Bottas is professional enough to understand that. Even I understand that line of reasoning. What I don't understand is what I didn't see: the necessity. Desirable it may have been, though the fact that both drivers scored points, with Bottas needing more of them than Hamilton, argues agai...

Merc are going to have to start supporting Valtteri as he and Kimi are only separated by a few points for third in the standings.

Valtteri gained six points today but Kimi is still well within striking range.

Only 9 laps now for Verstappen on hyper soft now, how strange Max on Ultras not Hypers. Don't know why they chose that. :?: :?: :?: Really odd. They didn't have anything to lose by taking a punt on Hypers. With the cars lighter and the track more rubbered in it could have got interesting.
