Re: Potential disciplinary action against Hamilton by Merced

I think one word that makes the difference between what Schumacher did at Ferrari nigh on impossible for any driver to do again IMO. Testing. Without it the drivers role outside of a GP weekend is simulator and the odd test/filming day. There just isn't the scope for continual immediate feedback or...

Re: Ferrari F1 team says Sebastian Vettel must be less agita

How about Ferrari actually do what they're supposed to be great at, and make a car that can actually go faster than a tractor trailer and then talk about Vettel. They're responsible for wasting 4(?) years of Alonso's best years, 3 and counting of Vettels. Even if people aren't convinced about Vette...

If Manor and Sauber CAN get a decent driver line-up for 2017 and I hope they do, it could be a nice battle with Williams next season? Mind you they might blame it on a rookie driver and a driver been a bit rusty after retirement. Plot twist, Rosberg changes his mind over Christmas and wants b...

I read somewhere that put forward an arguement that during times of Schumacher's dominance, he didn't have any peers on the grid anywhere near his level. I would argue that today we have probably the strongest driver depth across the field of drivers. Yes there are a few that aren't top draw. It mad...

Yes I too have a clause in my contract that prevents me from working for a competitor for a year or two (don't recall exactly) after I quit. IIRC it's not valid if I'm fired. Depends where you live. I love wet races. I am sure such a system could be used to alter race outcomes. And for that reason I am against it. Eg Ham leading, Bernie sick of him winning waits for him to pit for drys, then reaches into his pocket and hits the rain remote. Other guys that haven't pitted gain a pit stop of time...

Would he have won the 2016 WDC? Possibly, no matter how average he was, Hamilton blew 3 race starts and had 4 mechanical issues - that would have been 6-7 race wins immediately. If Mercedes are dominant again, he will win a lot of races as it is will probably still be first car to first corner and ...

The multi-million dollar question. If you forget this year as Massa had decided he was going to hang up the helmet, Bottas at times hasn't smashed Massa. When Massa was at Ferrari in 2013, it seemed most people thought he was past it and was over due to leave F1. Did Massa have a complete turn aroun...

Bottas... For me he's the only choice. Experienced, quick, readily available with a sweet engine deal to Williams, and they get to put Pascal in a decent-ish car for a year to see if he's the real deal. While many people are ruling him out, I think Perez would be a good choice. I think it might depend on how passionate a Nico or Ham fan you are. On that, Merc only lost 2 races this year vs 3 in 2014 and 2015.

Mercedes can't honestly expect him to obey a team order which ends his championship fight. This is just face saving from Mercedes.
