Re: Hamilton seems down these days?

Current F1 does not suit his style. He is aggressive driver who regularly overtakes on rare places in spectacular way. Now we suddenly have F1 where drivers drive 80% because of tyres. That's what makes him so down IMHO. This. I think too, it's the current way F1 is. It does not allow him to use hi...

Re: lewis cursed

I think this was pure team error. In situations like this the pilots have absolutely no idea of the complete picture, what is going on, when to pit, if to pit, how to drive, fast, slow, to maintain tempo. With crashes and SC the chaos (especially with this bizarre rules) is such, that it should be c...

Re: Will Nico Rosberg be able to compete with Hamilton

I think the situation is pretty simple and logical. Nico knows the car for many years. What hi lacked was the speed factor, and with Hamilton's arrival he obviously got access to data and information on how to get that, watching what Hamilton does. On the other hand, getting in a new team is much ha...

Re: The Official Lewis Hamilton thread

I don't see anything so bad you need to worry about. The situation is quite normal. The car was built for years around Nico and Schumacher, Hamilton has had just few races in it and is still ahead in championship. True, Nico looks very focused but he knows the car. Hamilton doesn't. He doesn't even ...

Monaco is the last place where a driver shows how good he is. This joke of a "track" for F1 cars is a real disgrace for driving sport cars. I don't care about the history or whatever it has through the years. Every year i kind of skip Monaco cause its damn boring. When the most exciting thing in a F...

these tyres add extra challenge for drivers to be competitive, even if they can't achieve 100% speed their driving is far more interesting than just going all flat out on the accelerator pedal, let's see how skilled and complete drivers they are, not just a pole-to-win procession. So now driving sl...

Does anyone seriously want to go back to 2005 type tyres that last a whole race? 2005 had the lowest overtaking figures in history. Does anyone really want a repeat of 2004 where one driver won 13 races? Only one other driver won more than once. It was a dull season. Those of you who say 'I'd prefe...

You know, I think Hamilton is trying too hard to be the 'celebrity' of F1 with his tattoos and model/singer girlfriend. It's irritating. There is no such thing as Law of Averages. This is a common myth, a belief, without any mathematical real sense. I think lately, at least from what we hear as radio msgs, the calmest and most relaxed driver is Hamilton. He is mostly providing information or is listening to it. We don't need the artificial thing that DRS is. What we need is rules that remove the blocking and let the drivers pass each other in a natural way, so we may see more late breaking, different lines and careful slipstreaming. And of course, some chance of defending.

Re: Slipstreaming - Where did it go and can it come back?

It's not just slipstreaming, main reason we don't see exciting overtakes in the corners is the fear of the pilots to hit the brakes hard and late. Late breaking and tucking in the corner later than your opponent and thus overtaking him requires and shows skill but requires tires. With current tire s...
