Re: 2023 Azerbaijan Grand Prix FP & Qualy/Sprint Thread
And sprint races are so boring. What's the point? These cars aren't made for sprint racing.

Re: 2023 Australian Grand Prix Race Thread
Biggest winner is Stroll. Alonso deserved 15 points today, Stroll deserved 0 since he made his own mistake, Instead it's 15-12. Stroll would have a point as he fell to 11th and Sainz would have finished behind him due to the penalty. I don't think he deserved no points at all. I agree with what you...

Re: Tweaks of Sprint and Qualifying
I'd say use Q1 as the sprint grid, Q3 as the main race grid. Makes all parts of qualifying very exciting, and sprints become more exciting because drivers do not hold back for the sake of main race grid position.

Can't say Gasly now. Can't say Sainz now. Max was all alone and not flawless.
Hulkenberg was great, Hamilton had the measure of Alonso. He let him get to 1.1 seconds, saving his tyres till then, and then built it up to 1.7 seconds, repeatedly. Great strategic planning by him.

Have they confirmed anything about penalties yet? I've missed the last 5 minutes. I'm so confused. Sainz punted Alonso off, deserves a penalty. But now Alonso will start 3rd. So does Sainz get a penalty, or was his mistake cast into an alternate universe since it didn't affect the order? And does G...

You don't address the fact that the team told him to go out and stop. If they're asking him to stop, they know something is wrong with the car. Since he's already in the pits, why go out and stop?
