I think he should go to Williams! A legendary driver with a legendary team would be a perfect setup till he retires. Williams today is FAR from the Williams of F1 lore. Claire seems to be doing an excellent job propelling them back towards that, but they have a was to go to reach that peek again. A...

I am not a neurologist or an expert on brain / head trauma, but in Jules' case, this wouldn't have saved him? His brain suffered because of sharp deceleration, not because his head was exposed. Also, what will happen with this thing in Jules' situation? Would it crack or shatter, or cause more harm...

While bodywork is designed to shatter, sometimes, as was the case with Justin Wilson it doesn't do as intended and enough of it can remain in tact and become a time bomb so to speak. I honestly don't have a problem with a clear canopy so long as the current openness and aesthetics of the cockpit rem...

The HALO makes it's first appearance…
So, Ferrari are the first to trial the proposed Halo today. It's now so I'm sure it would undergo several evolutions until an almost perfect final product is developed by one of the teams that would become the benchmark. I realize it's raw and unfinished, but it looks awfully clumsy cumbersome and a...

Just a technical point here guys, but last I heard, Philip Morris still dictate the logo and livery of Ferrari, as well as the MotoGP Ducatis. Look at their respective team logos, the logo of Marlboro is still very much there. As it is on the 2016 Ferrari from the right angle. All the ban has done ...

It won't be any less dangerous because the cars are usually 4+ abreast going into several of the first corners on many tracks anyway? Let's analyze your statement thoroughly… If with the current procedure we end up with 4 abreast on a piece of real estate that cannot accommodate more than 2 comfort...

The nose has a smoother downslope than last year's car and is a bit longer, a bit in between the C34 & C34B-Spec. The endplates also feature longer bits to channel air over and around the tires. Well the front page here says it's officially been voted in and could be implemented as early as 3.5 weeks from today.
It doesn't sound all that bad, however, I think the current Knockout system is excellent and doesn't need revision.

The first thing that sticks out at me is that LMP1 programs are not more expensive than F1 programs. Only one that we know of "is said to be" on par with that of F1 budgets and that's Audi sitting at $242 Million, but as far as I know that figure is unconfirmed. If true however, small wonder why the...

McLaren is still essentially "zero size". If Honda still tries to optimistically purse very compact layout, no wonder others doesn't share the optimism. The tradition of teams running their primary country colors was excellent and though several teams from single country would compete, the hues/shades of that color would vary slightly, and coupled with the distinguishable shapes of their individual cars you were able to tell who was who. We already have Spec Formula Series. Have for a very long time now. Currently it's called GP2 and is a tool that exists to weed out the best talent for F1 and in rare cases to maintain and further hone a driver's skill set as with Grosjean. F1 was born out of the human need for competition to see wh...
