Re: Senna vs Prost: Suzuka qualifying 1989
That's an easy enough question to answer; because this was (and still is) the FIA (or FISA if you wish)... (I think that Balestre should receive credit for his efforts to go against the idea that it is fine to threaten a competitor with an accident if he doesn't want to yield at the first sight of ...

Re: Which is the Strongest Driver Line-up for 2015?
In comparison to Kimi; once Massa closed the 2009 season, Kimi began to finish nearly every race on the podium with an undeveloped car. Surprising? Factually incorrect. Massa's last race in 2009 was Germany. There were 8 races after that. Kimi scored podiums in the first four races, and none for th...

It's amazing that it seems the two drivers you follow had poor 2014's both for motivational reasons yet that isn't considered an excuse by you. Do you think Alonso liked driving last years Ferrari? Is he the same driver as he was, Massa to a long while to get back to speed, if he ever did.

Because they were having to pay for the Mercedes whilst the Honda is a "works" deal. Very few teams have had success in recent years by just being customers. It is always better to work directly with an engine partner. So why were BrawnGP and McLaren of 2010-2012 were better than the works team? I ...

I voted Alonso - I think he has the biggest banana skin situation. Yes, you are right. Maybe they reached better times within a safe drivable setup from the get go. They no longer have to try silly innovations to reduce the hefty gap to both Williams and MercedesGP. If the car is doing much better laptimes from default, why risk it with an unsafe chain of setup ri...

Re: Rosberg's ability (or lack of) on Race Day
Rosberg needs to harden himself to outside forces and be more confident. For example, he laid down the gauntlet last season, daring Hamilton in a pass or crash scenario and held his own when Hamilton took the dare - then promptly caved in to fan and team scorn. Nico has to be immune to scorn and le...

 I agree the situation still doesn't mean much about the gap. Prost wasn't a driver who tended to go all out in Qualifying. He was a far more calculating driving who knew the real work would happen on race day and the points don't get given out on Saturdays. That, and he may have already k...

Re: The Rise of Ricciardo's Fans
I'll start off with my own; I became a fan of Ricciardo in 2014, because of his incredible car control, clever racecraft and genuinely decent-seeming personality, but before that I admit I thought he was nothing more than a special qualifier. When RBR announced their pick to replace Webber in 2013,...

It is the moment of truth for Mr Vettel. Raikonnen is a known quantity and they have already built the 2015 car around him so how well Vettel does against him will benchmark him as a WDC. Even if he comes in consistently second to start with all would not be completely lost for his reputation if he...

Ferrari, McLaren and Red Bull do change 1 driver while Sauber, Toro Rosso and Manor go for a full new line-up. I dont say that Prost was faster than Senna, but, in this particular video looked like Prost was driving very calm and wasnt even trying, he maybe thought he would not beat him so maybe the best is to secure 2nd place and not risk much.
