Re: Hamilton-Rosberg; how do they rate as a pair?
There are some strong pairings on that list! two questions just pop in my mind when looking at this. 1. none of the pairings listed are from non winning teams, there must have been equally fast teammates in slower machinery. car performance skews your results a bit? 2. Would Lewis and Nico be this c...

Re: FRIC suspension
It does seem that some of you guys misunderstood what rake is. More Rake does not mean lower ride hight at the rear. What rake is is the angle difference from the center of the car measuring the front ride hight to rear ride hight. For example you could run 30mm at the front whilst 60mm at the back...

Re: Hamilton Vs Rosberg - Luck
Do you really think that when someone refers to a driver outperforming the car that they are saying that the laws of physics are being somehow bypassed? Anyone with half a brain knows what 'outperforming the car' means. Please read my last response regarding this issue to understand what i was talk...

Re: Hamilton Vs Rosberg - Luck
Not sure if its setup choice, but of late, Nico has been equal or slightly faster in qualifying on the softer tyre. In race conditions Hamilton now seems to have equal or slightly better pace than Nico on the softer tyre. As soon as they bolt on the harder tyre Hamilton is a lot quicker than Rosber...

Re: Hamilton Vs Rosberg - Luck
this is the part i disagree with, you can't rate drivers without considering the cars as each driver car combo has strengths and weaknesses.WHoff78 wrote: Ultimately does it matter - it’s the difference between saying driver A is better than driver B, and Driver B is worse than driver A.

Paul Hembery "We also confirmed what we knew: you have more rigid sidewalls, so you do have an integrity challenge; the car's sensitivity to camber will be very high; the front tyre will create a very aggressive turn in; there will be big variations in pressure. We need more detailed studies on that...

Re: FRIC suspension
A cost effective way to introduce a ban like this would be to allow the teams to implement the ban next season, rather than force those teams to rectify the issue now. That is what I do not get in all of this. Because just one team is running away with both titles? Because more people would be inte...

Re: Hamilton Vs Rosberg - Luck
I'm sorry but I feel it has to be acknowledged that certain drivers are capable of making a car appear much better than it is and lewis,Alonso and now it seems Ricciardo has joined that set of elite drivers. No I think it has to be acknowledged that some drivers can show just how much potential a c...

Re: 18 inch Wheels
18" Pros: More contact patch= more grip (not necessary, but likely), more room for brakes design (better brakes), more room for suspension design which would make different geometries (or maybe different suspension systems as a whole), more top speed (gearbox the same) Incorrect. The bigger the rim...

Re: 18 inch Wheels
:?: more contact patch? they won't be wider... in fact they seem to be about 1 1/2 inch bigger in overall diameter which should not affect the topspeed or the acceleration a lot... As i said, this is not necessary (to increase the contact patch). but with stiffer tyres there is a chance that the co...

Re: 18 inch Wheels
I quite like the look of them, I'll be honest I'm not really sure why they want to change though, can someone who understands give some pros and cons for each wheel size? 13": Pros: Lower weight, Less inertia, better control of wear, more acceleration (gearboxes the same), softer tyre (suspension t...

Re: 18 inch Wheels
I love them, they look fanatastic. would open up more areas in suspension design and brakes as well. I think they have more potential than our stone aged tyres, although they would slow acceleration down a bit, the top speeds won't and gearboxes will be changed as well. overall: go for 18"!!! (or ev...

Re: Hamilton Vs Rosberg - Luck
History has shown that to not be the case at all. If there were 50/100 races in a year it probably would start too, but 20 races is not enough for it to even out over. Just look at Vettel Vs Webber in 2010 and the other years. 2010 Vettel was plagued with issues while Webber was bulletproof and it ...

Re: Hamilton Vs Rosberg - Luck
Hamilton fans gloating already :D AND saying Rosberg is due more DNFs. as always poor Lewis has suffered too much. Nobody wants to see it decided by reliability do they? Or maybe they do. I would be perfectly happy for neither to have any mechanical issues for the rest of the year and the best man ...
