In that budget. Does this account for the entry fee each team has too pay the fia each season. The champion team (merc) have to pay a premium which I believe is €50,000 per point scored the previous season with the rest of the grid paying €25,000 per point scored the previous season. A question to ...

Re: Possible 4 part qualifying in 2019.
I don't really see the point in qualifying. I mean qualifying is something you do when threre are more candidates than places on the grid. At present we are 6 cars short for a full grid, which means everybody qualifies. I remember the reason for bringing in "better" qualifying schemes; avoiding lon...

To me, Hamilton has got better with age. I am still confused why Kimi has not won a grand prix since his return to F1 :uhoh: ... It appears that Vettel does not like pressure compared to Hamilton, who thrives on it. :) Also, I've noticed that Hamilton's results get better in the 2nd half of the sea...

I think the last season that I really enjoyed was 2012 although this year so far and last year have been good to watch. I'm sure others have said it in this thread already, but being from the UK and not having access to watch live has really made me lose interest. I used to watch the Sky footage by ...

Where Mercedes have been very open about employing team orders, Ferrari and a section of their fanbase seem to be pretending that their drivers are tr...

All I can think is that if no good quality highlights are shown, it will simply reduce the viewership in the UK or make people find less reputable means of viewing. So all round not good for f1 in the UK.

There’s a chance of rain on both Saturday and Sunday. I want there to be rain, because I want Vettel to make amends for what happened in Germany. I'd say it makes sense from an advertising perspective both from the the manufacturers point of view and Liberty's in marketing the sport with more sports car names in it. I don't think it would ever work though for the simple reason that the commentators are almost guaranteed every race to constant...

Ham smashed the previous Silverstone lap record by 5 seconds 8O The level of performance is scary with the cars now. So F1 fans suddenly feel otherwise crap music now is good because an F1 driver is involved in it. Aguileras voice is holding up the whole tune which is pretty flat and repetetive. 2/3 for Fernando Yep. Can't help but feel that's sealed his fate as an F1 driver, and that he (and most likely McLaren) will do a full season of Indycar next year, to give him a proper go at the Indy 500. Yay, home and watching finally!
I don't mind looking at the scrolling positions bar, but I do wish (which I don't think I've ever seen in endurance racing) that they'd put on the side of the screen the current top 3 in each class. Would make it a lot easier to catch up on positions quickly.

Re: Inter-team team orders at Monaco? (Merc/FI)
To be honest, I don't know if there is a rule which specifically stops inter-team orders similar to the badly worded tram order rule which got abolished back in 2011(ish), but I'd assume if there isn't, there probably should be, otherwise it really will just be an engine manufacturers championship.

I think regardless of who Ocon was actually racing, he wouldn't have even needed to use defensive driving to keep Hamilton behind him and lost no race time himself. In my opinion, in this situation, it really shouldn't matter if he on a different strategy or not - he was currently ahead of Hamilton ...

My gut instinct as to whether redbull will change to Honda is simply if they want to keep Ricciado or not. For a top driver who is potentially in demand for more than one top team, it'll have to be a pretty Steller pitch by redbull and Honda to keep him there. But then again, the pitch worked on Alo...
