Re: Who actually is/was Red Bull's best 2nd driver option for 2025?

As long as Red Bull is a 1 driver and 1 car team, I don't think the question is of any interest. What they are looking for is a top driver who will accept to be sacrificed and still be happy to be. Apart from an "average" driver who will be pleased to be signed by a top team, who with enough talent ...

Re: The 100 Greatest of All Time (Update)

Which nicely goes to show it isn't all down to calculable factors. I wonder how today's drivers would race if their cars weren't as safe as they mercifully are. Prost knew why he drove the way he drove. Much easier to drive conservatively when you have a car that can go half a second a lap faster t...

Re: When will Red Bull replace Perez?

Why are people so hung up on qualifying anyway? I understand that it's maybe the measure of "ultimate speed over a lap" etc etc but so what? They are "racing" drivers not "qualifying" drivers. It's what they are able to do over 70 laps on Sunday that counts. People seem to switch to whichever metri...

The funny thing here is that Perez’s results since Miami have been worse than many of his seasons in midfield cars like Force India and Sauber, but at no point has anyone clocked the idea that maybe, just maybe the RB20 isn’t a good car. I did... I am on a third side then, and not alone to be I gue...

What's the lowest position the teammate of a WDC has finished in the standings? Is Perez getting close to the record (assuming Verstappen wins this one)? Nelson Piquet won the title in 1981 driving for Brabham, his teammate Héctor Rebaque finished 10th, this often gets brought up in such conversati...

Perez keeping the Red Bull seat with Sainz dropping to Williams would probably be the most unjust driver movements I can remember. Especially as Sainz was a Red Bull junior. This was alluded to on F1TV. I don't know if it is true obviously. It has nothing to do with Red Bull, why are you brining this up? Because Piastri has signed up to McLaren not be in a position where he has to defer to Norris. And he shouldn't be, he is in it for himself. It was arguably Verstappen's weakest weekend of the year relative to Perez. Less than a tenth ahead in qualifying and 17 seconds in the race.
