Re: Official 2013 winter testing thread

Some "non-reliable" reports from the track saying that the Force India looks like its a handful, Ferrari and McLaren handling well but the Red Bull looks planted to the road. Yeah, many of them look like a handfull (surprise, surprise it's testing). The other one is Williams. Torro Rosso looks like...

Re: Caterham, Marussia and Force India drivers

Would love to see Petrov in a Marussia (makes more sense with the Russian connection).

Post-Edit: Oh dang. Was a good thought though. ;)

Is this true? Which drivers? In no certain order: 1. Lewis Hamilton 2. Nico Hulkenberg 3. Jules Bianchi (there's a gut-feeling about this guy). Lewis is of course a real possibility, but what on earth makes you believe two drivers that have won nothing in F1 (the latter one hasn't even participated in a single r...

It's ridiculous the cavalier attitude with which Caterham holds for their drivers… === Senna is also rumored to take Caterham seat? Also waiting on the final pieces of the 2013 grid to take shape is Bruno Senna, who has been linked with the other remaining race seat, at Caterham Link Caterham also h...

Re: How slow is Karthikeyan?

Though he appears to struggle at times, I've little doubt in my mind he'd have been able to challenge the likes of Senna if he was born 20 years earlier. The man is one of the quickest things on four wheels. He's cool, calm and collected, hiding his fierce determination and mind-blowing ability beh...

Re: Goodbye 90's drivers! Time to reminisce...

Few moments that I reminisce (please don't ask me the years, I reminisce as I type): Prost vs. Senna battles in the early nineties. Damon Hill's drive in that underperforming albeit beautiful-to-look-at Arrows (Hungaroring?) where he was leading but alas, in the very last lap his tire blew up and ga...

Re: Bianchi set to secure Force India seat

Perhaps Ferrari may have stabler engines than Merc for the 2014 regulation changes? Or perhaps Force-India's Mercedes engine deal expires by end-2013 which probably means a hike in securing these engines for 2014? No idea - but nevertheless should be interesting to see Bianchi. He might want to impr...

Re: How long have you been watching F1?

Early nineties - Murray Walker's excited commentary drew me to the sport. But gradually lost interest when Schumacher kept winning race after race. I don't get much time to watch F1 now, but I have a keen interest on the lower to middle order teams just to see how they fare.

Re: replacing raikkonen with fernando worth it?

Stereotyping a lot here, but I think that it was a huge culture clash, Raikkonen was/is too quiet and reserved for the team. They need a more flamboyant person who makes a lot of fuss. Looking back to the Bahrain winners room, the unfit and overweight Raikkonen was happily joking and talking with V...

Re: Which team will improve the most in 2013?

RedBull – I would expect no change as the top team, mainly because of Adrian Newey & Vettel/Webber. Lotus – a newfound faith after the latter half of 2012 season (thanks to Raikkonnen) should give them new hopes. And with a more consistent teammate this team can make a few jumps perhaps even ending...

Re: sergio perez the dark horse of 2013

It's rare for a driver to jump into a front-running car and be fighting for the title straight away - especially when they've got as little success and experience as Sergio. Before looking at titles, he's got to focus on beating Button. Jenson's no slouch and held his own against Lewis. All this ta...

Hulk had an enforced sabbatical and it's not done him any harm! True, it hasn't done Hulk any harm. :-P But he's also fairly bit younger to Sutil and probably had the ambition/drive to get noticed in the 2012 season. I think Ferrari has team orders for yonk years, at least since Schumi's days or perhaps even before? Gerhard Berger/Alesi days.. So why would anybody expect Massa to outperform Alonso? In most likelihood, Force India will bring back Sutil, thanks to Mallya's preference for him. But expectations of Sutil in such a comeback session are just average. He's probably lost his pizzazz after a year outside the limelight. What would be more promising is if Force India could get an even you...

Di Resta's personality is written in the stars. He is a fearless tiger (Chinese astrological sign is "Tiger". Combine that with the fact that he's an Aries, which is a no-nonsense 'fire' zodiac sign. Don't expect him to be great in 'marketing' skills expected in today's politically correct F1 driver...
