Re: Gorsjean's Horriffic Crash (Bahrain 2020)

I have to wonder about the fire marshal hosing down the pavement before turning the hose on Grosjean's car. It occurs to me that Romain was on the same side of the barrier that the fire marshal was on. He may not have wanted to turn the force of the hose on Romain as he was getting out of the cockpi...

What people fail to realise here is the Mercedes engine is the engine to have irrespective of what Ferrari did last year. Even with Ferrari engine power upgrade, Mercedes basically pushed them home every race they won. Not one race did Ferrari push Mercedes home, that tells you the power of the eng...

Re: Gorsjean's Horriffic Crash (Bahrain 2020)

If Grosjean races just in the final race this year, I would find that amazing. That incident barely looked survivable. From the first pictures we saw (which they rightly didn't instantly show), just seeing the back of the car with the cockpit missing and a heap of flames in a broken barrier make me...

Perez is still favourite to win this battle, even if Albon maximises his potential in the Red Bull.
With all the weight Albon put on I don't think he'll have the pace to challenge for 4th.

So is (was) this Bottas' last chance for the WDC? Or will Mercedes just create another behemoth and destroy RBR again, giving Bottas another slim chance at a title? The FIA may have to reconsider the use of unprotected Armco barrier at race tracks. Both with the death of Francois Cervert and today it was a hazard to the driver. There have also been quite a number of similar incidents in both pro and club racing where it allowed a race car to become wedged betwe...

This seems a fair comparison to the Senna/Schumacher battles. In that case Senna was generally in the inferior car though not at all past the peak of his powers. It would have been good to have Senna back into a top car again to challenge Michael on an equal basis but it was not to be. There will al...

I think Hill retiring in Adelaide '94 was also monumental - not just because of the fact it cost Hill a title, but also essentially set the path for Hill's Williams exit. I think a WDC Hill would have made him less error prone in 95, with greater confidence, and even if he had still lost (which I s...

The second DRS zone starting upstream of turn 11 and going all the way to turn 12 ought to make passing easier than most tracks. Front straight DRS will help also.

I finally found the allotment of tires for this weekend with the reduced practice sessions:

Only two sets of hard, two sets of medium and six sets of soft tyres will be available over the weekend: 10 sets in all, compared to 13 over a normal three-day weekend.
