Sainz moaning about turn two.... well clearly you're not supposed to drive through the bollards at full speed are you? The whole point of the chicane is to slow you down, but no it has to be changed because you're an idiot!

Re: 2020 Russian Grand Prix Race Thread

Well that race will be more remembered for the penalties handed out by the stewards and dismal track than anything that any of the drivers did today. Just one appalling fiasco after another, and the officiating certainly didn't help even if the penalties were justified. Hopefully Stefano Domenicali ...

Re: 2020 Russian Grand Prix Race Thread

Even if Hamilton (and Merc) hadn't displayed first rate muppetry, I think Bottas had a very good chance of overcutting Hamilton anyway, judging from the pace he was able to maintain and extract out of the mediums in the first stint. I think it would certainly have been a great race without Hamilton...

Re: F2 & F3

I think Tsunoda lost the race when he got held up behind Markelov, who had yet to pit, it allowed Schumacher into DRS range and then Schumacher made a good pass. I think the win sees Schumacher into F1 for next season now, second place for Tsunoda has him well placed for the necessary super license...

Re: 2020 Russian Grand Prix Free Practice & Qualifying Thread

Saw the good and the bad of Lewis today. It was a messy qualifying for him and he definitely put himself on the back foot in Q1 and Q2. Mistakes that you don't see to often these days - I think win number 91 could be bringing out a few nerves. Q3 he showed the brilliance though. Hopefully set up fo...

No further action for Hamilton, Latifi, Grosjean, Magnussen for their turn two adventures. I'm sure Horner be protesting tomorrow  The question is whether it will benefit Valtteri by being right behind Lewis on the clean side of the track and getting the tow down to turn 2. Verstappen is without a doubt the fastest driver on the planet. Max is going to have to start winning more than two or three races a year to demonstrate that. Right now he is in what is arguably the second best car on the grid. He has beaten Bottas four times this year but Lewis only once. Handicap...

Will 2021 Aston Martin be at least equal to this year's Racing Point? I don't know. Based on their first three years (2016-2018) I expected Haas to be battling for podiums by now. Aston Martin certainly will have a competitive power unit. I don't see how they really go backward that much from this ...

The Gasly hype is out of control on some of these rankings. A lot of people seem to be rating him as if he'd won the Italian GP under equal circumstances, when in fact he wouldn't have been in contention for even a podium if the race had run normally. He's been pretty good this year, but certainly ...
